Yeah I'm extremely skinny and underweight but that doesn't mean I'm healthy... I'm so weak and so lazy. Weight doesn't have to do anything with health it's all about muscles and fat.

Charlotte Burgess In a 24/7 fitness camp, sure. You don't have much of a choice there. But this has nothing to do with everyday life with jobs and families and duties. Most participants gain weight again after the show
@@emilydelamar4557 yes, unfortunately obese people were simply unlucky to be born in uneducated, low-class families where mothers overfed the children with junk food and sweets and there was no emphasis on sport activities and physical health :/ by being overfed since early childhood those people's stomachs became larger than normal and it led to an increased production of ghrelin hormones (which are responsible for feeling hungry);
Some people have serious health conditions that prevents them from losing or gaining weight

Its not, most of the people who lose weight on this show gain the weight back soon after. There is even cases of this if you look it up.

I actually wanted the first guy to win. The reason he didn’t win was probably because that majority of his weight was probably from muscle. They shouldn’t have done it just by a weigh in

ash rein a treadmill has a string and a clip that you clip to your clothes and if the clip comes undone meaning you slipped the treadmill will immediately stop
They obviously just do that falling off the treadmill scene for publicity. Still gotta find ways to increase viewership

If you do end up having a girlfriend or wife hopefully she will love you for your personality and not mostly pay attention to what you look like. Caring about someones personality and thier well-being matters more then just how unattractive you are and if your overweight.
Sorry, but I don't agree. There is a difference between someone loving you despite how you look physically (how God created you) and being obese which can cause many health issues. You are choosing to be fat and unhealthy and that is irresponsible and unhealthy! Personally I wouldn't want to be with an obese person, not only because I am not attracted to them but because they are not healthy and they don't have the discipline and capability to respect and love their body.

I agree, but as a fat person on my weight loss journey, let me say this: I want to have fun in bed with that future husband, and I can't at my current weight. I also don't want to be limited in activities like going on a roller coaster, climbing, whatever, and being over the weight limit and/or not fitting in. I don't want my partner to be ashamed of me being too heavy for everything. If I was like 20- 40lbs overweight, fine, I could still do all that stuff and he should accept me. But I'm far behind that... I'm not a bit chubby, or thick, or curvy. That would be a dream come true. No, I'm obese and that is fucking annoying.

I wish they ll count based on weigh lost percentage and body fat lost percentage , coz seems not fair for the guy. He definitely gained more muscles weight which is normal for a male. Anyways, such an inspiring journey from both contestants

Men build muscle way more easily, and muscle weighs more.
Jamless Gucci, more men have won the show than women. Men lose weight faster than women because they have more lean muscle tissue with burns fat faster. A man and I could weigh the same and cut the same amount of calories and he will lose weight faster generally. Long term this will even out, but in short bursts, like the length of the show, men do lose weight faster.
Men are aloud 500 more calories a day on average than women..

Kevin Garcia holy yes!!! I lost a bunch of weight, maybe 70 pounds, and I had sooo much extra skin. I’m sure if the extra skin was removed, maybe another 10 or so pounds could’ve been taken off!
@@rpjey I wasn't even that fat but I lost all the fat and like theres extra skin on the sides of my face and my armpits now it's not that visible but I can literally stretch it and I don't like it 😭😭
For real. I lost 70 lbs really quick in 4 months. My arms have always been saggy, but with the fat on them gone now, all that’s left is saggy skin....
Easy solution for all of you just gain muscle and the skin is off
Also you can have surgery
Its genetics mostly and a tad bit of luck I guess, best is also to be under 40. I lost 100 pounds with no excess skin.

Kopie it’s bad cuz at that size, going on the treadmill can cause permanent damage to your ankles and joints.

@@paulitamme Also running on forest's grounds is also really healthy for your ankles! I've a busted knee and while I have immense trouble running on treadmills or asphalt, I'm totally fine when running in a forest

I love this show. It's it think the only reality TV show that really cares about the contestants, where embarrassing isn't the only goal
Not necessarily. This show actually does more damage than good. It is unrealistic for people to lose this much weight in such a short period of time. They are exploiting obese people for ratings. Any person on this planet can lose weight of they are put in an excercise bootcamp for months. Most of the people who have been on the show have gained the weight back

This competition doesn't make sense to me, I mean not everyone needs to lose the same % to reach their ideal weight?
This is true. This show exploits morbidly obese individuals for ratings. The point of the show is to lose the biggest amount of weight. This is unhealthy because each individual has a different skeletal structure and body composition. It is unrealistic to expect each person to lose so much weight in such a short period of time.
That first trainer was not being mean. He helped the guy reach amazing results. He was just being motivational.
And I struggle so much I have not been with a woman in 18 years and I know what you mean depression kicks in my self-esteem it's very low
