Good points all around. Imho the only major reason to play Troy anymore is if you play Mythos or you really, really like the Trojan War. The campaign mechanics, the battles, the buildings, and the faction variety are so much better in Dynasties. Dynasties is cheaper too...
Mythos is an obvious plus for Troy, but I also feel like the factions in Troy are actually more distinct in terms of mechanics from one another than Pharaoh's. I suppose it's 50/50 if we are talking about Troy's historical mode, but that didn't get the attention it deserves and it's a bit undercooked anyway.
I actually really, really liked Mythos. I am a fan of ancient mythology, and it was actually the one thing I really liked about Troy (besides maps, it is a beautiful game). PS: please note the game's music is pretty loud in the video, at times I had dificulty understanding you (which doesn't happen in your other videos).
I believe that troy does a lot better on the building mechanics, economy, theming/immersion, levelling up system for generals, agents and individual faction mechanics. I believe that it is definitely worth playing, or even implementing more features from troy to pharaoh.
If you haven't tried it yet, I recommend giving the Troy Revised mod a go. You might've mentioned it in the video, but I don't have time to watch it atm and will do so tomorrow.
The only thing I don't like is that the trade system can be easily abused, and I think the trade routes are limited to 10 turns, I wish it had longer trade route durations, and harder to cheese the ai. Cause you can spam 10 turn trade routes of like 10 copper (you get excess copper from turn 1 as amazons) for 10 stone or wood and 1-2 food, and you are racking in the resources. You can literally do this trade route spam to every faction until you run out of copper per turn. So it's really annoying to be constant trading every few turns. Otherwise I love Total War Troy. I love the amazons, I really like the Oracles, I like the religion system, it's a fun little game.
About roster i dont agree exactly that anatolian trojans are so op cause some mechanics empower you or make you stronger i mean depends many things, for sure some are better then others but no op…..even light troopers with some buffs are really op like memnon troopers which i didnt expected to be so strong . Also achaeans have some very heavy troops and mecynes the 2nd best archers, the 3 are ethiopians egyptians archers. Is more balanced then we thing if you consider the mechanics of the game and even in skirmish battles every roster have the good and bad……mythos is funny also 🎉🎉
Yes. I would say it's worth it, but it's too expensive as a DLC. What really bums me out is this: Why Dynasties has no LARGER expanded Mythos mode. Because to me it feels like a waste that Troy has this excellent DLC, but with Dynasties you could have Age of Mythology total war but WITH better graphics You could have the Assyrians with their Lamassus, Egyptians with their unique mythology, Mycenans and Hitties with their own references to beasts and Gods, Babylonians with their whole thing. Why Mythos as a DLC for Dynasties is not accepted is beyond me
I love pharoah dynasties but troy was never good to play. Troy was never good and will never be good no matter what year it is. Only total war campaign i never finnished

Elite Medium infantry almost always win against Heavy infantry.
Music sounds beautiful!

Gold is not limited when you max out Priests and Spies ^^
And you still get some gold when you deplete gold deposit. (just stack bonuses)
Achaeans have the best Chargers, which is a big advantage (and cheeze) against Trojans
