I love my shibas. I have a red female who acts like a cat. I have a red sesame male who is all dog! He gives kisses and loves to guard the house. He’s real sweet and loving. Annie would rather be off on her own but Andy would like a spot on your lap.
I am interested in a Shiba Inu or Chihuahua by Shiba Inu is starting looking more Attractive so ordered a book on there care& training for further research. ❤️🐕❤️
@6:20 ' they can be aggressive to dogs they don't know ' - Oh yes! Whenever someone with a Shiba on leash was near my dog I wouldn't allow them to meet and say 'hi' and kept my dog away as the rule, Shibas were never friendly. Owners need to take care and train their dogs.
I wouldn’t say that. Like every other dog breed they each have unique personalities. You can use videos like this as a good reference on what to expect. With shibas being so pure blooded( direct descendants of the hanchu wolf) . They pretty much all have a similar temperament. Both me and my sibli have shibas. My cream boy is a genius and he thinks hes a samurai. Our girl is legit like a cat. Sensitive and fierce. Then my older brother recently got a shiba who is legit the bigges crybaby ever and hes a sesame just like my sisters girl. So you can definitely expect a unique personality from any dog. The coat doesn’t mean anything, just if you wanna make them a show dog the red is preferable, and creams have barely ever won.
@@eon4831 I mean I'm curious if there were studies about it. The dark coated shibas seem more quirky to me somehow, based on experience. Gold coats seem reserved and calm, dramatic as shibas are.

Thank you for this informative video! I think that shiba inus are not perfect for starting dogs but their independent nature is great for hunting .
