It's fantastic how like 10 members of the Montreal prog-death scene in different combinations can make up 5 different bands - you're like a loving patchwork family from hell 😊
the key to memorizing long complex songs with multiple movements is to break up the song down into pieces. sometimes these pieces are only a few measures, a repeating chorus, or even riff. Doing this shifts your perception of where you are in the song from which note or chord to a wider focus of which SEGMENT am i on. Once you done this the individual notes are simply reflex and muscle memory, for the most part you wont think about them.
That guitar riff at 3:20-4:30ish is so incredible. And then the solo that follows...... exquisite. Mad skills. The whole fuckin band is just so skilled
This is how all playthrough videos should be done in this day and age....the whole band on full display. Badassery. Happy I found these guys. They need more subs!
I don't really get all the comments regarding this matter. Despite sharing some of the (ex-)members of BC, I think this sounds quite a bit different. The song structure is also not in any way typical BC. I really like what I hear! Looking forward to a new album from you guys!
Hloy Hesit Mann I can't thank you enough .. that song is insane , Christians solo at the end is perfect!!, now to return the favor.. Band: Martyr Song: Endless Vortex Towards Erasing Destiny .. Canadian tech death at its finest
Sacredgeometry Vocals are really different, also the style of instrumentals is very and very different. Tones are different, bass is different (you can tell 'cause there was much more tap-slidy technique in Forest's playing). The band is really good though, I like it almost on the same level as BC. I guess BC is just a little bit more brutal ;)
guys, don´t get me wrong...or get me wrong?! what the heck. with all your 78 string guitars and this clean polished "like a drum computer" sound, your diversity in sound is so unrecognisable low. for me it was like to find the different tone inside white noise. you are close to the edge to not call it music. you really make death music! congrats
internetwarrior666 I'm smelling what you're stepping in. This particular style and feel just really resonates with me so I'm all for it, but it absolutely could be the same band.
Beyond, Brought by Creation.
Brought by pain creation ?
@@BrennynM no
lol
Exactly my first thought, had to come to the comments to confirm
So great to see Guyot back at it! He's a large part of why I enjoyed Beyond Creation's debut album.
databloom70 that nasty ride work
his work on the aura is truly underappreciated

3:52 is some straight up funky shit right there
Also hugo is a machine.
Primus
good mixte.original.
Man, I admire how these people know what they play, how can they memorize all of that? Great
petvrg i admire more the composing of this song, all the ideas, is incredible (sorry for my english)
Practice, practice and practice again.
Muscle memory, my friend :)

So incredible. Hugo is a Beast!😈
I wanted to say that this song has many Beyond Creation influences...apparently 3 members played or currently play in that band. Damn!
Cosmin Pletosu yes that's true
Guyot on drums used to be in beyond creation while Hugo on bass and Kevin on guitar are both still in the band
Maaaan this solo part is super f**king awesome!!! I love it!
Headless guitars, insanely atmospheric string riffs that involve six hands to bring together..what tis' this sorcery? That was very entertaining.
Kevin's Strandberg looks super comfy to play
The manbuns are giving them power, and fueling the one guy with the pony tail
that switch up at 3:54 was dope
The Montreal metal scene is amazing. Keep it up!

Isn't the guitar and bass player still in beyond creation?
dudes, you gave me ecstasy through hearing. Hugo playing on two of the top EPs this year.
What was the other one?
Mannnn that groove at 3:52 , fucking A+
Vape Ape if you like that, you should listen to Carved in the Wind by Gorod, cause there's a very similar part. You maybe have heard it already though
Hloy Hesit Mann I can't thank you enough .. that song is insane , Christians solo at the end is perfect!!, now to return the favor.. Band: Martyr Song: Endless Vortex Towards Erasing Destiny .. Canadian tech death at its finest
Caliss que ça fait du bien d'entendre Guyot jouer du drum!
Insane bass playthrough with slap
Wow! Fun to watch, and more importantly sounds awesome!
I don't think I could live in Montreal. I'd probably die of music induced dysentery. Do you guys have any bands that aren't amazing up there?
Nope :P
Definitely my new favourite tech-death band.
joseph bernard have you heard the Dreamers Will yet? Different style than what this album is gonna be from the sound of this but still a beast
joseph bernard the dreamers will is their first album
Yikes - I'm on it then - this current EP is insane!
Shit guys !!!!!! So crazy to watch all of you at the same time, close shots ! \m/
I was like, why does the bass sound like if it was fretless? And then I realize that those are just fret lines lol.
Frets ! Don't need no stinking frets !
Tave Garcia Frets stinky like Shit!
3:06 guy begin-benoit is insane. no struggle at all wtf...
This is top notch stuff
Tabarnak c'est sick! Playthrough avec tous les instruments for the win.
That's a great improvement over the first album, congrats guys.

Rlly dope!
thanks michael romeo for those tappings :P (awesome band by the way!)
the bass is epic :3
Merci😎🤘🤘👍
Amazing and so much respect.. can only handle a few songs tho, brain starts to hurt. 🙂
This sounds like the bastard child of Gorod and Beyond Creation.
In other words, fantastic.
Beyond Pain
Wooow this so great!!!! Thanks guys for this music!!!! Fuckin great!!
Hugo, those natural harmonics were truly masterful taste. Only if they would bring bass out in the mix little bit more.
Hi,does the Keisel have the Polarity pickups?
You all are very talented, I like this type of music, I don't know anyone else who does .
Vous êtes vraiment solides les gars!
VERY FUCKING GOOD, KEEP FCKIN GOING
So much fucking talent...makes me happy yet I feel like a fucking loser lol. Sick stuff boys. I really REALLY liked it. 🙌🤝
WTF!!! The bassist 😱😱😱

TAAAAAAABS
If you need tabs still then you can't play this music. If you had the ability you'd have an ear by now
je sais pas ben ben quoi dire d'autre que: TABARNACK que c'est bon!
🤘🏻
I would bring that bass out a smidge. I love bands that actually let you hear their bassist. Similar sound to Beyond creation
TTAAAABBBBBAAARRRRNNNNAAK
💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
The man buns cut this down by 30%
this is masterpiece 🙋 come indonesia
Team Manbun
Damn, De Gea can shred.
Two man buns in one video. Holy shit, hold the phone
What really sets this apart from Beyond Creation exactly?
No offense but your ear needs more training.
Sacredgeometry Vocals are really different, also the style of instrumentals is very and very different. Sacredgeometry also, if you can say like that, these guys play more pentatonic style, i would say (judging by the solo).
Kevin shredding with a pentatonic scale
Olivier writes most of Brought by pain material...
Sounds like it come straight from Necrophagist Epitaph album
i need to visit montreal only to headbang the shit out of me \m/
and btw. the 20-24 fret on Olivers guitar looks depper cut, wat are they for ?
They are called ''scalloped frets''! You can look it up and you will have a far more complete and accurate answer!
thanks for the answer :)
will come a physial copie from Your EP ?
Brought By Pain are only those frets scalloped? Because that would be insanely bad ass.
yes only the 20 to 24 fret
btw i`m wrong XD it´s 21-24 fret , but who the fuck cares still sounds progy
Why does Olivier's guitar look so huge
because I'm very small :p
Does anyone know the tuning of the bass in this song
lol were the vocals recorded at the same studio where beyond creation did algorithm XD?
Isn't one of the guitarists and the bassist from Beyond Creation?
Someone know what is the name of the video editor that this band used ?
Way heavier than beyond.
The real aliens are in tech death bands
Fuck, that bass on 2.30
How in the shit do you come up with that
Beyond creation? :v hahaha
Alberto Flrs almost
guyot begin-benoit is there at least
that's some Shit.I like it
CANADA PRODUCES THE BEST!!!!

Sounds to me like you should get some better speakers. Off course it's very low... but the diversity is still very clear.
1,2....3 man buns!
0 stars
Just sounds like Beyond Creation
internetwarrior666 It's like half the same band. and I don't think that's a bad thing. I want all the music from these guys as I can get.
Dylan Solt It's not terrible... just not all that original...
internetwarrior666 I'm smelling what you're stepping in. This particular style and feel just really resonates with me so I'm all for it, but it absolutely could be the same band.
Dylan Solt There's only two members that haven't been in Beyond Creation, so it's easy to see why that would be so.
"just not all that original"
putos amos
sounds like beyond creation
Trying to figure out this one - is the 7str in G# Std?
Music is evolving way too much. I wonder whats happening in in another 5 years .
Complètement débile ! Je commence à être hype pour le 8 décembre !!!
Man buns....
Good stuff guys! Guyot, you're the man, once again! If you're a fan of Guyot, check out our HETA video on our channel. \m/
