My GF works literally across the street from that particular Pupatella, and we eat there at least once a month if not once a week! It’s that good! A few tidbits you left out is that the brick ovens are actually hand built on site by a team that comes over from Naples, and all their ingredients come from Italy as well. I lived in Germany for 7 years, and unless you went into a Pizza Hut, any pizza you got there was going to be cooked wood fire Naples style like this by a guy from Naples, so I really came to love that style of pizza. A lot of people say it’s too thin, or comes out all lopsided and misshaped, but that’s part of the charm for me. I have had practically everything on the menu there, and it’s all very good beyond the pizza. I’d definitely recommend the meatball side dish and olive plate as well. The first thing I ever tried there was an anchovie pizza, which I think is honestly the best way to judge a pizza joint because they’re easy to screw up. Pupatellas came out perfect. I was hooked from that point on.
Love your channel, so many of the places I see bring back that DMV nostalgia feel. Keep representing the DMV and great content!!!

Interesting, I always judge by cheese only with no toppings. But I do love anchovy pizza.
