Ted(d) Pierce, who wrote "A Star Is Hatched", also left the Schlesinger studio in late 1937 when Max Fleischer offered him a "better job" (and a higher salary) at his new studio in Miami. Tedd worked on "Gulliver's Travels", A handful of his shorts {including "Superman"}, and "Mr. Bug Goes To Town" before the studio "fell apart" in late 1941 [Dave Fleischer quit, and Paramount foreclosed on Max's operations, turning it into "Famous Studios" and considerably diminished his staff]. As with Friz, Leon Schlesinger was more than happy to welcome Pierce back to his studio.....and he stayed through 1962.

Sadly, The Powerpuff Girls Movie has been overshadowed by Men in Black 2 at the box office during 4th of July 2002 weekend. Nearly 21 years later, people enjoying both movies because they're good.
