  • Orly Shani introduces you to a way to make your own washable statement rugs using a rug pad, washable material, scissors and double-sided tape. This DIY works for those on a budget because you can just repurpose an old rug you have lying around the house. When dirty, remove material from rug pad and just throw it into the washing machine. This entire DIY will only cost you $30, as opposed to over $75 if you buy it in a store.

This i great. I love how rugs make a space feel, but they get disgusting right away. So great to have a machine washable solution

I don’t think it’s a good idea to cover an old dirty rug, but it is a great idea if someone wants a cheap custom rug for themselves.

With everything she had to buy I bet it equaled the price of a rug. Just that carpet pad is like 60-100 dollars.

Where did you get the fabric for the white fur rug from the demo?

Probably from Joann's as well. She mentioned Joann's for the other material.
But, any fabric store, or Amazon, Overstock will have thick fabric to use.

Are you serious? Why on earth would anyone want such a labour intensive system? It's like making a bed on the floor then add two way sticky tape on top of an old smelly carpet. Pet urine goes through every layer...just dumb!
