You can Jindo tried very hard to differentiate this one from the original while attempting to retain the same overall style. I'd imagine like Glessing Way SA, there wasn't much room for him to improve here. Still, Jindo managed to put out a great arrangement, ending in particular goes hard.
Definitely not a song that needed this arrange, tho this still fucks. Cave of Groan or Evan Macha would've been my personal IX choices of songs that weren't on Ultimate
Love the original track a lot, so the arrangement wasn't really necessary. Amazing work, though. Feels more in line with a dungeon theme, but the drums show a different energy compared to the other instruments. The extra solos shine a lot. Great track.
While this is a genuinely good arrangement I think it's sad that the only thing I can think while listening is "at least it's not Glessing Way a third time"
Just some first thoughts straight off the top of my head but this whole album sounds too "full" to me sound wise. Just a permanent wall of thick sound in my ears, which I assume was done as a means to differentiate these tracks from the already fantastic previous versions they have I do not think the result of this was ideal. Not every instruments needs to be doing a bunch of stuff at the same time but again, how else could he differentiate from the already 10/10 originals or super arranges whilst still keeping their spirit. Probably not an easy thing to do. Could also have something to do with the mixing but I won't pretend like I know a thing about mixing. I guess what im trying to say is that I somewhat interpret the (to me not ideal) chaotic saturation of these tracks as a desperate attempt at trying to differentiate from the originals without changing any fundamental elements of the track. I would have been fine with this track choice if it was for a jazz arrangement album or something but to have to rearrange his own original compositions or arrangements in the same style AGAIN... He and the fans got let down by whoever chose a lot of these tracks. I am also not sure if I would call this track specifically the most extreme example of this in the album but am leaving the comment here anyway. Regarding this track specifically, I am not a fan of the transitions (or lowkey lack there of) to new segments of the piece nor repeated ones. Drums are also kind of odd as Choops pointed out.
I think it's moreso the mastering than the mixing. Jindo doesn't mix or master his own tracks and from what I recall Falcom's mastering of Jindo's tracks has been problematic for a while now.
@@quinceymorris2595 Right, i think the channel owner mentioned something like that. Does your statement include his tracks for the actual games or is it just the super strange stuff where he doesn’t mix and master. That’s what I assumed based on the crediting.
@@AstraProc I believe it's just any outsourced tracks in general, regardless of whether they're for the game or arrange albums (meaning Singa tracks also have the same issue). To be honest I don't know too much about the subject of mastering myself, so I'm mostly going off of what I've read regarding this.
Should've been Cave of Groan. There's a great song under all that careless midi and painfully short loop time. Always wanted to hear that song be not shitty. Cloaca didn't need another arrange and i really dislike the four on the floor drumming on the chorus, which feels like it was done simply to differentiate from the original.
not bad at all but i vastly prefer the OG version, this doesnt have the same energy, I cant help but feel this was Falcoms choice cuz why would Jindo arrange something of his which is already PEAK
oh boy I love Ys 9's opening movie music
あっさりしているお宝ミュージックですよね。
it was not and it have not any intro video. it was only a rumour without any official comfirmation that this song could be the opening theme
@@G3E007 It's not a rumor, the composer himself said he composed it thinking it would be used for an opening
@@Hamlock_ i did not know that
It does sounds like a "New Age version To Make End of A Battle".
a perfect music while working out😁. Love it!
기대했던 곡 드디어 나왔네요 좋습니다
This intro goes HARD holy shit 😍
Glad to see this one here, because I missed it not getting the Super Ultimate treatment. The original is great too.
Wild how this entire song emits the same feel as the back half of Desert After Tears SU.
This didn't need an arrange... but I ain't gonna complain either. I prefer the original, but I'm also a fan of this faster paced take on it.
Looking back I kinda wish Crossing A/A got an arrangement, but this goes hard too
It got one on Ys IX Super Ultimate, def check it out
Cloaca Maxima was pretty fun as a dungeon

better than the original, let's fucking go Jindo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

why did they make him arrange his own song again

Man i was so disappointed when cave of groan and evan macha didnt get on super ultimate.
those songs with proper instrumentation would be amazing
F moment
shut the hell up. i know u agree.@@YourVinished
Cave of Groan, Evan Macha or Knock on Nox would've been better
It's good but like
why Falcom? Why make Jindo arrange his own song of all things
Emmmmm I dont know what to say with this mess..... But outside cloaca and mighty obstacle the album is avesome Good job Kingdo❤

Yeah agreed. Basically exactly how I felt about the Glessing Way super arrange. Just feels redundant
Kinda agree since it just doesn't give the same experience like when you first heard the beat drop while exploring the dungeon for the first time.
