After watching a few of your MSC reviews we were seriously considering trying it out and looked at booking a 2024 MSC cruise but after In the Shower with Jay that did it for me... I am not a fan of tiny showers and my husband is claustrophobic so that whole bathroom situation looked uncomfortable. I had no idea how important In the Shower with Jay could possibly be but frankly it ranks up there with Interpreting Dee's Fish Talk! Definitely the two highlights of your amazing videos for this relatively new fan. 🤣 We sail in three weeks on Celebrity Equinox for our 22nd Anniversary and have watched that entire series three times now. So excited to get onboard and do the Hot Glass Class - I'm hoping to make the same jellyfish that one of you did. My first cruise was in 1988 on Carla Costa and since then I've sailed on Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Disney several times each, but our favourite line is Celebrity. We've sailed Celebrity Horizon (2004) Summit and Millennium (2010ish) Reflection (2013) Eclipse (2015) Silhouette (2019) and now Equinox (2023) Thanks for your amazing, entertaining and honest reviews!

Watched this series again since I booked my first MSC cruise on the Seashore. Just a little 3 day out of Port Canaveral in January to try MSC. Can’t wait. I booked interior at a great price and although they are choosing my cabin, I am not fussy about noise or location, I can sleep through an apocalypse lol, so looking forward to this and MSC’s private island. Wanted to book through you Dee but if I remember correctly you weren’t taking on new clients.
I loved the bathroom review. Was recently on the Carnival Mardi Gras. We were in a Havana Suite. There was this shower that was supposed to be something special, but, we found it confusing, awkward, and would get the floor all wet. My husband said it reminded him of the movie "Demolition Man" where they talk about the "3 sea shells".
Jay totally agree with the shower , it’s the worst and I was in the yacht club inside room and the shower is the same. MSc Divina has a better shower set up. Thanks for your videos I really enjoy them all.

I've enjoyed seeing this sailing & do appreciate an honest cabin restroom review. We've sailed on 4 lines & the one cabin shower/bathroom that we all hated (family of adult women of all heights & sizes) was on the Caribbean Princess (2010). For that sailing I only showered a few times in our cabin & used the Spa for a decent shower.
I agree completely on the bathroom on the Seashore. My least favorite of 15-ish ships we've been on. We were invited to one of the inaugural sailings in November and if we had any more nights on the ship I probably would have started using the public restrooms for any serious toilet needs for the same reason you mentioned. To sum up the Seashore "Super pretty ship with terrible stateroom bathrooms"
I am glad you've been so open-minded about MSC. No Cruise Line is perfect but I have enjoyed my cruises on the Meraviglia and on the Divina. Do you think you will cruise on MSC again?

It's definitely subjective. I think most of the food that I've seen in the videos look really good (I've got a 14 day on the seashore coming up in late February) I've been on ncl 3x and can't stand the majority of the food on board their ships and won't cruise with them again. This will be my first time with msc so I'm excited to try them. I love Carnival and Princess (I've never been on Royal yet)
I have heard that on other cruise lines that it is possible to take showers in the spa area if you want. I read that the spa showers are bigger and easier to use. Is this something that can be done on an MSC ship? Thanks for sharing and you guys are fantastic!!!!!!!!!
We didn't see any showers in the actual gym area, which is free to use. Looking online, lots of folks say there aren't any. They do have some in the spa, but with MSC, I believe you have to pay to use that area. Yikes!!

Few questions if you don't mind :) -how was the process for getting on the ship, I believe they are doing covid testing and you also have to show a negative covid test as well? Can you describe this whole process? -MSC is claiming a 70% full ship, did you find this accurate and was it less busy around the ship, shows, buffets etc..? -did you pre-pay for any of the specialty restaurants? I'm having trouble finding information on what's included and what's not. I know you touched on a few things but still grey. -Did you make use of any of the pools on-board and was it easy to get lounge chairs around the ship on at sea days? Thanks in advance!!
Heyo! When we sailed in December, there was no at-port testing, only the pre-testing required, so we don't have specific details on that process, sadly. Our sailing was about 30% full which made finding chairs and whatnot super easy, but I can't imagine they're planning to actually sail at 70%... wow! We tried three of the five specialty restaurants as part of our Trilogy package, which were Butcher's Cut, Ocean Cay, and Hola Tacos. We missed the sushi and teppanyaki. But they sold packages that would cover I believe two, three, four, and maybe even all five restaurants at the one price, though you are mostly confined to the limited menus that we showed at each restaurant, rather than the full menu, without paying a little extra. Hope you have awesome cruise!! :D

It’s the photo op near the cabaret that we pointed out on one of our first evenings, and we stopped for a pic after the show that evening but didn’t include it in the vlog, hah!! :P
Looks like the whole point of the drone flight was capturing the ship sailing out. Which is weird for a promotional video ---- they're capturing what it looks like when you miss the ship?
Is the food on MSC not that good? I’ve been watching these videos daily and noticed the food doesn’t look as good as other ships 🤔 but I also noticed that they seem to put a lot more effort into the entertainment and overall appearance of the ship.
The MDR food is pretty average, and I'd put it around the same level as Carnival or slightly below. We've definitely had better on other lines. But the specialty food on MSC has been pretty spectacular on both our sailings!! :P

We recently went on the MSC and was excited to see the Caberet show after seeing all the shows you saw there. You would be very disappointed to hear that the show is totally nothing like this anymore. Mainly a house band and some magician, plate spinner acts…so disappointed….
The MSC style definitely isn't for everyone, but we enjoy the experience overall. Curious to try another midsize ship with MSC and see if it feels as fun and cozy as our time on Armonia did in 2020!! :D

I love the pizza on Princess at Alfredo’s. It’s different than the Lido deck pizza and it’s an included restaurant. Sooo good!
