I have the 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross the white diamond limited edition, it so far drives very well in snowy climates, I live in WV and we got 9 or 10 inches of snow, I was able to hit the snow button and get out of all that snow just fine without too much trouble, it seems to be a great little suv.
I like you 2. You seem to talk about what normal, everyday people want in a vehicle. It gets you to work and to home, grocery store on the weekends, kids to school, and occasionally to the movies with my gf. For 18 years i owned a 2006 Mitsu Lancer OZ rally. It was hard to let her go. Im looking at a 2024 eclipse cross now. Great review.
New subscriber, I took this from Avis for my road trip from Toronto to Huntsville and I loved this car. I am a new driver with very little driving experience and want to buy a new car which is reliable and fuel efficient. Corolla Cross Hybrid and Rav 4 Hybrid is what I am looking for but due to shortage of supply I am thinking to go towards Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross. What do you guys suggest?
Toyota has been at the/near the top in reliability studies/tests for several years so if that's a key factor, look closely at them. Mitsubishi does offer a 10 year warranty, which also helps if you're looking at keeping it long-term. All the other manufacturers have their positives as well and you're right; availability will factor in the decision making process. One key thing we ask you to consider is buying the right-sized vehicle for your needs between today and the next 4-5 years. If you don't need a crossover/CUV/SUV, look at a hatchback/small sedan. Let us know what you decide!
Great video Steph and Jay 👏👏👏 What a breath of fresh air with naturally aspirated engine although it is with a Turbo. I can’t believe I am getting excited for a Mitsubishi. Thank God it’s not Hybrid or EV garbage. Yes, you are right. The interior and exterior design cues are not cohesive. It was designed by a university graduate without any automotive mechanical experience 😂 Even a Dodge Omni from the mid 80s were better designed and executed.
The sawc on these is great for people in snowy climates. Add better tires than what is factory and these are tanks in snow. Yes they are dated inside, but being an older 60 year old driver, these are great. All the new tech is just too much for older drivers and just more go malfunction. If you are an older driver in your 50s or older and drive in bad weather, these are worth a test drive.
I really like your style folks. Great review style. I call Mitsubishi turds but I reach for them when I take long trips because I find them to be totally reliable and I leave my exotics in the garage. I even bought my mother one and she loved it. I am only an Outlander Sport buyer though. I was looking at the Eclipse this year but bailed because of the poor crash test results. The only thing I see bad about Mitsubishi these days is they are now priced too high as there are many options now in that price range. Then I figure in the easy servicing and i feel better about it. It's a first for me to say but i believe the UAW versions were better built than the ones today as the 2014s I had were better built than my last 2021 one. I had two 2014 ones. Very entertaining video🎉
Thanks for the kind and supportive words, James - Steph and I appreciate you. Mitsu has come a long way since debuting in the Canadian market in 2002. There's still a ways for them to go but their unbeatable warranty certainly helps.
@Modern.Motoring got one as a rental on a trip about 6 months ago....was a great drive big increase in power from the standard 1.5 would definitely buy one if offered here in the us....I owned a 2018. Was a great car went to a 22 outlander when they came out.
I think car reviews should compare car interiors side by side , instead of just saying an interior looks more dated than another , Because in reality when you compare the interior of the corolla cross and the eclipse cross, honda hrv , the interior looks almost the same with the dashboard layout and infotainment . Some eclipse cross comes with a heads up display which is not in the corolla cross. Also hyundai can try but they cant stand behind a 10 year warranty like Mitsubishi, definitely not for a tucson. The dry dual clutch transmission is not built well And hyundai knows it. The cvt in the eclipse cross is reliable and consistent. Dual clutch transmissions are also bad in hilly areas , during stop and go conditions. Cvt may be boring but they are better for everyday driving than dual clutch
We do side-by-side comparisons as often as we can, but our hope is that people will refer to other reviews in our catalogue to verify our statements. We’ve got recent reviews of the models you listed that viewers like you can check out. Of course, styling is always subjective! And you make some great points. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment. We appreciate it!
@@AlejandroArchila1That's the appeal to me. Old wine in a new bottle is good when it comes to ease of maintenance esp when the standard garage is not easily reachable.
Would you take the 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross over the 2024 Subaru Crosstrek?
I just bought one of these in the silver metallic SEL. I love it

How much mileage it shows
You guys are fun to watch. Well done.
Thanks!! We appreciate you :)
test drivers say this is better than rav4 coz it feels like rally car while rav4 like a minivan, this is also popular in australia

Actually the seat heater controls go all the way back to the nineties when the Mitsubishi Galant had those buttons on the seats😊

We used to buy Hyundai but to service it got way too expensive. We bought our 2nd Mitsubishi.
Great Video- do you have review for 2024 OUTLANDER From $34,198 and how you see this Eclipse vs Outlander -

They already have a phev version with the same drive train as the outlander phev...just not offered in us and canada

Still quiter than the CRV, i find our CRV very noisy inside and its the touring trim. Winter tires make it very noisy

Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross needs a redesign......
Exterior looks good but the interior is a little dated already.

2035 all electric ?
That’s what a Canada just announced…not sure if the goalposts will be moved the closer we get.
