    It is always a pleasant experience and time well spent watching your youtube videos. You should really look into automobile journalism instead of working for comissions and or low base salary selling autos and this is a complement. You have a great unparalled charisma...kind of reminding me of Roman Mica on TFL.

    Alright, video has been viewed, what are my thoughts? You probably covered without a doubt 100% off the truck. You even mentioned a few things I didn't know myself which is amazing because by preference RAMs are my favorite trucks, and I like to know anything and everything I can.
    Have you tried one with the rear coil spring suspension as compared to the Air Suspension? Many people like both but I haven't seen any preference, the only downside to Air Suspension is RAM has no lift kits for it, I'm sure their are aftermarket ones, but if someone does a lot of recreational things Coil Springs would be better.
    On the CD player, I can completely understand why you say that they're kinda dated, however sometimes some people don't have newer phones such as me and you, and even with my iPhone, I have several CD's that have songs by one band or so, and I typically try not to mess with my phone while driving so a mix CD is great so I'm not fiddling with my phone too much.
    Too bad this Laramie didn't have the optional RAM Box and bed divider, I would have loved to hear your thoughts about that. And I completely agree with you on the Spray-In bed liner, it also looks good too, what about a Tonneau cover? A person like me uses the bed maybe 6 times every 20 trips so I would recommend it.
    On a more personal note, are you from a different country? I'm U.S but even still really enjoyed this review.
    Do you like the amount of comfort being put in trucks today when compared to the 90's?
    Have you compared the RAM 1500 to the Chevy Silverado and Ford F-150?
    I think they all have good things about them, but I'm partial to the RAM.
    It's awesome you get so much attention with phone calls, and from the U.S no doubt, as of this video I will Like and Subscribe, looking forward to more reviews by you about any vehicles. Cheers.

      Thanks for sharing your experience ;)
      You can get actually Laramie with Ram box and box divider & extender ;)
      CD - old school ;) And i'm agree - not everybody has latest phones and know how to use all this gadgets, but the same time everybody has computers at home where you can convert your CD to USB in few minutes. And another IMPORTANT think - this should be covered at the delivery with the salesman - he need to show how to use all those items and even help out with CD to mp3 change. Thats just future and professionalism.
      Tuneau cover - must have. I would recommend 3-4 hard fold from rear and front fiber glass.
      Suspension system difference to show in video is almost impossible - its a drive feeling which actually also really difficult to notice between regular RAM 1500 4 independent suspension & air suspension. But if you will try any other manufacture - big difference. Our independent suspension make huge benefit and comfort feeling.
      It is impossible to get LIFT KIT with AIR suspensions.
      Also it is impossible to get Air suspensions in Crew with 6.5'' box ;) just for info.
      I'm from LATVIA but now enjoying life and trucks in Canada, B.C. Vancouver ;) Love it ;)
      Thanks & we'll keep in touch ;)

    Can you get the alpine package, with the nice display, and just have non heated seats and steering wheel and rear camera? I really like the doohickies in the truck. But don't care about leather seats, heated mirrors and stuff. I am from California so the heating things don't matter to me.

    • @GoTestDrive
      @GoTestDrive  10 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sounds like you need more something like Big Horn edition. I'll do my next video on it.
      But basically outside looks very similar to Laramie, but less features (which you dont need) and cheaper ;)

      ***** That or the SLT, or if you're not into the chrome like me, the Express that comes standard with a 5.7L HEMI V8 6-Speed (8-Speed rotary dial is optional, gets better fuel economy) is a great buy too, and it comes in Regular, Quad, and Crew Cab configurations with or without 4x4 your choice, and is the cheapest aside from the Tradesman, starting price is between $23,000-$34,500 depending on cab, bed and drive options and incentives, it even comes with Fog Lamps as standard (Fog Lamps are the lights in the bumper)

    Excellent review! Went to a Ford - Dodge/RAMJeep dealer today and test drove the RAM and F-150. The RAM is by far the best ride and quality build. Your video points out things my sales guy doesn't even know about. This just helps seal the deal. Thanks.

    Hi,
    for a 1500 dodge ram hemi, what type of rear axe ratio do you suggest? 3.21, 3.55 or 3.92
    I drive in Italy in urban and rural street, sometimes in interurban road and no towing no cargo inside the bed, no hills road.
    I'm looking forward to hear from you
    your sincerely
    Roberto

    • @GoTestDrive
      @GoTestDrive  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      meschio Just get the standard rear axel, 3.55 - its more than enough!

    • @meschio

    This truck has the gadgets what people it's going to pay BUT, this truck it's going to SPEND MORE TIME IN THE MECHANIC GARAGE than the ROAD and the RESALE VALUE IT'S GOING DOWN FASTER THAN A BULLET so what's that mean It's TRASH JUNK.

    i'm italian. In Italy the petrol is very expensive. What is the dodge ram 5,4 hemi true fuel consumption?
    I look forwar to hearing from you
    Roberto

    • @GoTestDrive
      @GoTestDrive  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Roberto! Every country fuel economy might change. In Canada lowest regular fuel we are using 87. When I used to live in Latvia lowest we got was 95. Also in Canada I think fuel is cleaner - for example in Latvia 10 L I can drive 20km, in Canada with the same 10L and the same vehicle about 28km.I'm driving similar truck and getting average 13-13.5L/100km (city&highway) in Canada.The best way for you is to find somebody local who is driving similar truck and see whats going on ;)Thanks,Norm

      ***** Does the dodge ram laramie 2014 has the xenon lamp ( I mean factory setting not aftermarket) ?
      yours sincerely
      Roberto, Modena

    • @GoTestDrive
      @GoTestDrive  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately trucks are not allowed to have xenon in Canada. Soon it is going to be illegal. They are too bright especially if you're driving behind car - car driver will be blind. ;)Trucks are equipped with Premium Bi-function halogen projector headlamps + LED ;)

    • @kimberlyjimenez8092
      @kimberlyjimenez8092 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      True fuel consumption is 13-14.7 in city and maybe 19-20 highway after 5 -6 hour driving.

    • @GoTestDrive

      Unfortunately those trucks for the moment has only one premium system "Alpine" ;) Is there any specific reason why would you like better Bose? Please share your thinking ;)

    • @911HDTV
      @911HDTV 10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** Thanks for your quick answer. The reason I want Bose is because I believe it's the best Audio System on the market. Though I have to admit Alpine system has a great sound it's not yet clear to me why these trucks don't have Bose System Sound yet. Is there a particular "bad note" about this Truck? Ive watched many reviews and still haven't found a bad thing about it. Thanks

    • @GoTestDrive
      @GoTestDrive  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      911 HDTV Its all about personal taste ;) Some people think this truck is too smooth ;) Or exhaust is not enough loud like a sports car ;) Some people used to have bad experience in a past Ram trucks 2001-2005.
      Also it is very important to know how exactly you are going to use this truck ;)
      Any manufacture has good and bad spots to work on ;)
      Thanks ;)

    • @__Paul__
      @__Paul__ 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      911 HDTV Pearls before swine. Bose is highly overrated, and doesn't even compare to Alpine on any level. Bose is great at taking inferior speakers and making them sound much better, but overcharging for them as well. Alpine speakers are more expensive, but are much higher quality than Bose, and without Bose's subwoofer gimmicks. Does Bose even make a head unit remotely close to Alpine? No, they do not. If you want higher end sound than this stock Alpine, then you are definitely going aftermarket, with something along the line of MB Quart, Orion, JBL, JL Audio, or Rockford Fosgate speakers, along with high-end amplifiers as well.

    4-cylinder shutdown on a V8? Twist knob shifter? No thanks. Dodge/Ram needs to stop fucking around with the 1500s. I'll be looking at 2500HD Cummins - much better value IMO
