Jon I love your energy. I'm pretty new to the world of TH-cam fishing videos. When I was a younger man,I fished the California delta, lakes, ponds,rivers etc. All around the San Joaquin valley. Unfortunately in my mid twenties I moved to the northwest, the Oregon coast.
I'm older now the kids are grown and gone, and so is the money...lol.

Jon, what the hell do I do with 35-45 degree highs here in colorado and my best bass spot is at least 600 feet higher altitude than home (reservoir is 5200 at least)

Landon Glover you should go through trial and error lol like most of everyone and understand how a baitcaster works I suggest an abu Garcia black max. Cheap and really awesome starter. I still take mine out when I grab all my rods.. not trying to down you man but if you start with a dc reel you’ll never fully get to know a baitcaster throughout!!
Do you ever fish for walleye? They are my favorite fish to fish for. They are really good eating as well, but I am sure you know!

Buzz L8yr the most I’ve caught in a day is 101 the biggest that day was 8 pounds I caught 15 4+ pounders. You will do great if you find the right place

Fishguy my state is home to Some of the best lakes in the US and the most shoreline and I will catch ab 10-15 at the best lake and mr brothers using the same bait will catch 0
