Me too. Growing up my family built boat docks, pushed them down to where they went. I'd go swimming if I found one on the bank. Or if too high in the limbs, push the dock to it, climb up to the roof to get cheap baits.

the amount of times ive seen these youtube guys drop rods, break rods, drop reels in... its so fucking pussy.
especially when they crying over bass, one of the easiest fish in the world. Try dropping a meter murray cod after a month of fishing, or your prize musky or a 120 Taimen. You definitely dont cry, because to be in that position you would have learned humility by then.

Buddy I like hearing that it took 12 hours to catch a decent bass, watching all these fishing videos doesnt give u the right idea about how hard you guys actually work and how long you fish somtimes to get just a couple bites and it gets people feeling like they're shitty fishermen. You should start listing in the info somewhere how many hours of fishing time went into making each video, it would especially help aspiring fishing vloggers like myself keep realistic expectations and not get discouraged when it takes an entire week of getting skunked to make a video. I love the subtleties. 2% milk from last video from Walmart was pictured at the end of this epi. Additionally, you can hear Jon singing about cereal before catching that beefy boi at the end. After landing the fish, we cut to him getting himself a bowl of cereal. Love it

Spot 2 is about 5 minutes from my old house. Zoom speed craws in various natural colors are the juice. Just east of the rocks where you caught that first fish and the point on the far west side of the pond. There’s also a tall patch of grass in the summers that holds a lot of fish near where you were fishing the creek. PM me if you want to go out to a few secret spots in the area.

Jon I went to Field and Stream and I had never been to one before, but as I was purchasing my new Favorite Sick Stick, I noticed that they had the Favorite AP Bassin rod as well as Flair's Frog Flipping Stick. They also had a Big Sexy for $199.99 that I was drooling over, and the Absolute. I stopped by there on Thursday and they had one Phantom left, so I went back last night to buy it for my Curado DC and it was gone. I was SO pissed. I was forced to settle for the Sick Stick for $129.99. The Sick Stick is still an amazing rod. It's 7'2" MH.

Drum here in the central part of the country are pretty common. As for a pattern , jig and float along rip rap banks the same as you would shallow crappie. They are delicious too. Firm white fillets almost no fishy taste.

Drum are a common fish to eat here in Michigan they have flaky white meat like blue gill but come off the bone easier you should do a catch and cook video on drum (sheep head) using old bay seasoning

In Iowa we call drum sheephead. I find it odd because that's like an actual fish in Florida I think.

On July 4th I lost a Abu Garcia rod and a Shimano reel and we searched for it for hours and never found it. It was my favorite rod too and I just bought it for jig fishing.
gotta have floats on those rods in the kayak... also drag a heavy weight with a trebble hook to get it back

We catch black drum in Florida a lot which is a close relative to the fresh water drum
