    Awesome!! You’re living the dream! 😊 loved the hikes, drone shots, and amazing scenery.
    But i was really moved at the end, seeing you reunite with your family in your messy garage. Real life ❤

    I love watching your videos. It’s great to see fellow Kitfox and Challenger guys (I have a Challenger ll and KF model lV) flying their work airplane!
    You sure brought back some fond memories of my boys when they were that age, what a great time!
    Keep those videos coming, it’s always fun to watch true aviators at work and play!
    Cheers, Doug

    I have flown with so many miserable hotel dwellers over the years. It is great to see a crew out both respecting each other's hobbies and enjoying the time on the road. It is a world of opportunity, don't make a misery of it folks.

    • @johnkluenker
      @johnkluenker  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! I feel like there are a lot of missed opportunities in aviation. We have a unique opportunity in this line of work to be able to do something fun and exciting for work and also have adventures and explore during the time between flights. You are absolutely correct when you emphasize not wasting this opportunity to truly live while we work! 🛩 ❤️

    I am so very glad that you two were able to come to my hometown and experience our mountains I am only half way through your video but I wanted to mention before I forget that we have a trail that we hike every year,well it's kind of like a trail it's the creek and an hour into it towards the back is a very tall waterfall I'd say over 200 feet high my husband son and I and about 4 or 5 of our other friends go back there every summer for 20 years and it's always so amazing and relaxing the fish don't spawn there so there is no reason a bear would go back there,but to be on the safe side our good friend whom is an officer up at the correctional he carries either a hand gun or a riffle and I feel more safe knowing he has one as with my husband and or son,hopefully some day you'll come back up and go check it out yourselves and wear extra toughs because along the creek is some deeper water areas and you have to climb over to log jams,but if I can do it and I am only 5'1 anyone can,so hope you all do and thank you for the video glad you enjoyed my hometown, Donna

    Thanks again, guys! I have been to Alaska once and it was a magical experience. I was with my folks many years ago and we stayed at the Gustavus Lodge. It was in August but NO MOSQUITOES! We caught salmon and halibut in Icy Strait and the temperature was 80 degrees with sunny skies. The whales were lazily swimming so close to our fishing boat that you could almost reach out and touch them. We saw puffins and bald eagles and grizzlies. Some day I’d like to take my wife there. Our Alaska Air plane landed on a gravel runway. That was different. One day we flew over to Ketchikan on a float plane. That was a bit scary because we barely cleared a mountain top. Or so it seemed!

    Not sure if you knew, but long before we did the overhauls on your 3007Cs a few years back, I was armpit deep in your fuel tanks as an up and coming A&P in Milwaukee before the current owner bought it. Guess that dates me a bit!

    Great video! Flew the X part 91 for a few years and did Ketchikan a lot when the boss had his boat there. Loved flying the X but could not fly a tail dragger to save my life. Thinking about an ultralight someday. Retired now and living in Phoenix. Any suggestions on type of ultralight to cruise the desert in? Thanks. Love you videos. Also great to have a good guy to fly with! Blessed! 😊

      I definitely am blessed for sure! I’m so glad that you enjoyed the video. Awesome that you have a bunch of Citation X time. Ketchikan would be an amazing place to frequently visit! The Citation X does really well in the Part 91 world. If you watch some of our other videos, you will see that Mark owns a Challenger 2 ultralight. That might be a really good fit for you. He has his set up for off-airport bush flying. You would probably love it! It’s a very capable little airplane. He has flown many hours in his up in the high deserts of Nevada.

    Awesome video awesome content. However the nice thing about Airline life vs corporate is that when the economy turns to crap and you have some decent seniority you’re not the first department to get cut like corporate and you likely top out 2 to 3 times that of corporate pay if you hustle it. Not to mention direct contributions and all the free flight benefits. And no 24/7 availability like most corporate job… love the kitfox👍🏻

      @@johnkluenker I just started watching your channel after that crossing the pacific to Hawaii. After this comment got more info on your background regarding flying the Citation X. Just wondering if you have fully paid of all the expenses to learn to fly to get to the point of flying the Citation X. I saw a YT vlogger only 22years old getting checked off flying a gulfstream twin jet and now working as a corporate pilot like you but I see he is the copilot on that plane ..I guess building time . So does flying as a corporate pilot for 15 years paid of all your flying certifications, having a nice family, house, two cars and your own kitfox plane. Or are you on the take a loan and pay off as you go thru life?

    I think a 91/135 career is a better bet than a 121 career. The Airline executives has become so adept at "Bait and switch" on pay benefits and quality of life that they caused a pilot shortage, and then rely on changing the qualification rules to band aid the damage they caused. Then when they get the next generation of new pilots in and "hooked" they will pull the rug out from under them like they did to prior generations. The respective managements at their airlines have so many tools at their disposal that they will always offer one "life" and deliver vastly less. Part 91 looks like a much better bet.
