Hi. If you go to partzilla or rocky mountain they have an OEM Parts Look Up section. Find the part# there. Cut and past it in the search bar of eBay and see if there are any heads available? You can also verify your head is matching the part#. The old OEM Parts Diagrams can be wrong. I look at the eBay pics closely to be sure the head is identical to what is being replaced. My restos usually get total rebuilds even thou they will not ever get much use. If you need head work I have had good luck with Fast Heads in Utah 435 668 7776 @@iancameron198
Yamaha never used the #4 bolts on any of the 78-81 YZ's I have owned all the models-they used plane 10mm head bolts with only the lock washers press on-washers were separate.

The 1979F model-and this 1980 G model share many parts-but the 1980 G tank was only used on the G model-maybe you were looking at the 79 Micro fiche
repair the foam with sections of foam/contact cement, then wrap with a upholstery batting!!!

What did you do for gas without a tank? For your test?

use a thin 3m duct tape on the pan edge-do not leave the old tape on.
