Interesting.. I didn't realise that bird parents had helpers... So much effort goes into bringing up the next generation! We look forward to watching this little community and hope their little ones reach maturity without loss
Not all birds have helpers. Most birds don't have helpers, the pair work on their own. Only some species that go around in flocks have helpers that are often their offspring from the last season and some randoms that hang around in their flock.
@lynetterudman as a matter of interest, my daughter took a cell photo of the 'white' wag tail at her sons cricket field yesterday. It's not 100% clear, but thought I could send a Pic to you on watsapp if you have?
I’ll be your waitron for today …. Um, would you like to change tables, I mean nesting holes? First course coming up - just a bit to the right, left, perhaps …. Ah, there you are, Bon Appetit. (Gee, can’t get good help these days!)
Lol, so true. I noticed the helpers also went to the other holes last year too. You'd think they would have learnt by now to go to the middle hole where the female usually is.

@@petershearing9878 Hi Peter, it is a leucistic wagtail. It lacks pigment. It is similar to an albino.
@@lynetterudman thanks so much for your Program. I really do enjoy it, and I will pass on this information to my daughter. Blessings..

Thanks for the informative and entertaining video Lynette. It must take lots of time and observation . I can't wait to see the next instalment 😊
@@luciafischer3190 Thanks Lucia, yes, I can sit for hours observing this interesting bird behaviour. It's very relaxing to just sit quietly and watch.
