    Thanks for posting this! I seen this on ebay and am repairing an ssd and have capacitors that did exactly what yours did after i hot air blasted the nand chip off, wouldnt boot/recognize and used my cellphone and seen the cap stand up like that in the solder.... toooooooo small to try and repair using a cellphone so im definitely getting this camera based on your review... thank you!!!

      You're welcome! Mind you this is an old model at this point (though still viable!) Newer models are out that have better displays, higher resolution, HDMI output, and much more. But the basics I go over should still apply.

    I'm looking for something that can be used sort of as a macroscope, for getting a close up view of miniatures and models to save my eyesight. Does this have a wider lense, or is it focused solely on microscopic, tight in images?

      It only comes with a lens intended for microscopic work. I don't believe there are any replacements or attachments. However newer scopes have higher resolutions, larger screens with the ability to output to another monitor or TV, and have better height adjustments. They might be a better option

    It's a shame no one shows the working distance. If you need to solder a component, is there enough space between the lens and the base?

    • @koztech
      @koztech  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I mean...it honestly depends on the distance between the component and the lens. If you have a steady enough hand, it's probably enough. The tech has improved a lot in just a few years. Newer models seem significantly better than previous models.

    In 2024 I got one today. It has USB C. I was not happy that it didn't have a power supply until from your video that it was just a simple brick. I went on line everywere, including amazon looking for a power supply. Oh well. I would have liked to see how you hooked it up to your mac. Thanks.

      Computers will just treat it like a webcam. There is software you can install but you're probably better off using OBS or some other software that works with webcams. Great if you want to use a 22" monitor (or larger) instead of the 7" screen. Or if you just want first, just capture using it's native capabilities.

    what is the working distance from the end of the lens and the base?

      So with the plastic shroud installed at the max it's about 2 5/8" or about 66.68mm. You can apparently buy extensions to increase that. However, this is outdated and has been replaced with scopes that can do 4k and output to HDMI, meaning you can hook it up to any display with HDMI. Imagine using a 22" 1080p monitor. Or a 50" 4k TV. But this is still better than squinting, so... 😆

    Can you see good when you go to a level of zoom where you can see cells and blood

    • @koztech
      @koztech  ปีที่แล้ว

      I am only using it for electronics repair so I can't answer your question. However there are some models that do come with specimens while this one did not.

    It seems that it has no digital zoom, which is a bit of a bummer 😕

    Hi. How much does the microscope cost?

    • @koztech
      @koztech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It fluctuates between $100 and $120 USD. I paid $115 but currently it seems to be listed for $110.

      İs it worth and solve demands?

    • @koztech
      @koztech  ปีที่แล้ว

      For my needs, yes. Though since then newer and better options exist. Larger screens, HDMI output, better magnification, etc. Of course those come with a higher price, but may be worth it to you.

      Which are some of the better options? I’m thinking of buying a digital microscope of this price range.
