Been absolutely glued to these videos man...Keep it up. You're early enough on V Rising to be one of the prominent content guys if it really catches fire, and it is starting to already. Really like these tournament run downs, gives me a little bit of the old Welyn Rust vibes. In the future, would love if you could talk a little bit more about how your early game strats lend themselves to end-game win conditions for the server. So kind of short-term/long-term thought process for how you're speed running. Thanks man.

Foolproof Quincey strat: dodge through him during his shield bash, stab him in the back as he recovers. Counter the single charge, side step the tripple charge when he glows red. Unless you get greedy you’ll never get hit.
Excellent, excellent content. Best V Rising content on YT. I've learned more watching you play than hours of those tutorial vids with mostly redundant tips. Prefer a more relaxed PvE game myself, but watching you go all in and pwnzone that competitive crowd has been intensely entertaining and my constant companion while learning the ropes.
Dude this 1h and half of gameplay is huge ! The spearman grab vs Aura, the Quincey 1hp death and the F-Bear 1 hp death... damn that got me screaming and laughing. We went to the same pain my friend
Aha I have been molded by losses since the start of my gaming career. I am definitely passionate about full loot games like Escape from Tarkov, V Rising, Last Oasis, Rust, Albion Online… they really get your heart hammering knowing you are risking everything 😁🌊 Hope you’re having a solid day LaRoast!
Ohh another thing. I tried out the scream attack speed buff while faring yesterday. I was chopping trees while doing so and apparently copper axe q also gives a speed buff so I used it and then after it would wear off I'd roar and use the speed buff from that. Doing this gives u a good bit of attack speed for a decent amount of time to farm. I can also imagine that it would be good in pvp situations.
Nice tech suggestion! Definitely trying to minimize the amount of time I need to farm trees/stone early. I think a big play would be putting a base down quick, getting copper weapon/horse, and terrorizing other players who haven’t finished their bases and who are attempting skips.

I misplayed a lot this tournament but I also had some really lucky finds. The very first wolf i sucked out the gate was madness lol. 80% creature or something 1 minute into tournament might be the difference into securing early Alpha Wolf.

Also aura seems to have yout number definitely on the positive side when it come to monster agro that's crazy picking fights that close to sun rise doesn't appear to be working in your favor unfortunettly.
The outplay potential with PvE/Base/Sun Differentials are insane lol. That one player using Chaos Volley + Aftershock threw me off, I had never seen a player use two offensive abilities and no counter.

one little mistake 39:15 you farm with reinforce stone axe when you have copper spear, the spear would get your more ressources + you can farm way faster because Q spell of the spear is recolting ressources
Chaos Volley + Aftershock was wild. No Counter can be so good but after I realized he didnt have a counter I was just throwing everything and pushing him hard.

Heya Patrick, I actually had used reapers for so long I didn’t realize the Q had a recast! In the May 28 tournament you will see me devastate players using the recast, it is crazy good in pvp. Thank you for the tips and for tuning in!
Nice commentary as always, really nice series you have. Detail but @45 min it 100% was leftover from someone moving their base. I noticed you never use the recast on the spear Q, any particular reason for it ? As for the counter I'd say you're overestimating the one you have for pvp, it barely do anything if you're not on top of the opponent, just heal you a bit, which is why I was surprised when against Aura you used space and countered immediatly. You used your two defensive move offensively, leaving you without escape, and in any case even if Aura had hit your counter, it would've done nothing. Following up to my comment on the previous part about the cancel, both it and counters are far more useful once you get iron weapons, as they get some very dangerous E skill, between the spear grab, the sword konck-up, both the axes and slashers incap. Now if the opponent doesn't run a defensive spell, there really is a mean to punish it, and if they do run one you can bait them out by starting to cast those E and cancelling them. In any case keep the good vibes, looking forward to the rest of that run.

Why not drop the boneguard armor for the nightstalker that fate dropped?

When the bandit pulls me with spear I lost it a little lol. The 1% Quincey and double loss to Aura were major setbacks but I am learning so so much.
