  • Interpreters for Channel Migrants should undergo 'LGBT sensitivity training’, a committee of MPs has recommended.
The recommendation was made the by Women and Equalities Committee. It said an urgent review of safeguarding is needed, describing plans to accommodate asylum seekers in barges as “unacceptable from both safeguarding and equalities perspectives”.
It stated: “There must be an urgent review of safeguarding, including steps to prevent LGBT hate crime and violence against women, across all types of asylum accommodation, including the newly acquired accommodation barges.”
TalkTV’s Julia Hartley-Brewer hits out at the committee’s findings.
Julia: “We live in a joke country! They are taking the mick out of you, out of me and every single taxpayer. These MPs are an absolute joke!”

That's the truth, I figure thats why the protests about it are not well attended. Not because people don't agree, they just know waving banners and chanting like they're at a sporting event, isn't going to make anyone change their mind, or make a difference. I have a feeling that if people felt that, a more direct/forceful approach was going to happen that number would go sky high. Absolutely sickening!!
Here's a story for you - Over the last couple of years I got very ill and subsequently I had to leave my job as I could no longer carry on.
I ended up in a spiral of working, getting sick, having to quit jobs, rinse and repeat.
Fast forward to today and I spent a year living off my savings as universal credit were pulling me from pillar to post doing pointless tasks and I couldn't do it anymore.
Subsequently I have lost my home as I couldn't keep up with the rent so I turned to the council for help as I couldn't find a rental. I told them about my circumstances and how ill I am and I need help finding somewhere, they told me to call them if I am in danger of becoming homeless and they will find me emergency accommodation. I was 3 weeks away from eviction so they said they will help me and to call them when I have to leave. I called them the day before I was evicted and they turned around and told me I am not eligible for help!!
I could have spent them last couple of weeks trying to sort out alternatives but now I had nowhere to live and ended up having to sleep in the woods in my tent . Thank you very much Cornwall Council!!!

You're quite right Mrs Hartley-Brewer, Politicians are "taking the Mick"...........but what can we do? People are angry at what is happening to this country (or should be), they are afraid for its future, they feel helpless and in despair! It is becoming unrecognisable and a difficult place to live now, especially in the Major towns and cities. What with as you say, GP appointments, schools, housing, hospitals at breaking point, road congestion etc. etc.
British people love Britain for what it is, its culture, its values, its heritage, NOT for what it is becoming! We are being railroaded by Politicians and influential people down a path we don't want to go! People with the wealth to "get out" if it gets too difficult and who can separate themselves from the harsh realities we have to endure.........this OUR WORLD, its our lives that are suffering, not theirs. We have to live with the consequences of their actions..........they don't!!

We only have ourselves to blame. Here we are talking about the politicians we foolishly elected to represent our interests. The Golden Ticket for most of them is membership of either the Labour Party or the Conservative Party. Parliamentary candidates standing for either of these two main political parties are almost certain to be elected because they are backed by massive campaign funds. We must find a way to break the stranglehold of the two-party political monopoly because it is failing us so badly. Since the turn of the millennium Britain has become a global laughing stock.

I keep saying this, but I can't for the life of me understand why this is being over-complicated. The answer is staring MPs in the face and costs little: any illegal entrant WILL go to dormitory-style barracks accommodation (with simple but adequate meals), they will NOT get any kind of cash payment, they will NOT get healthcare, including dental, they will NOT get e-devices or wifi (why would they need wifi?), they will NOT be given bicycles (as some are). In short, they will NOT be pandered to. Watch the numbers plummet within a month.
What's going to act as the deterrent? Pretty sure it's not going to be getting to the UK and being able to show all your countrymen that the rumours of expensive hotels, e-devices, healthcare, bicycles and on and on, all funded by the mug UK taxpayer, are true.
