- Labour MP apologises for tone after accusing Tory MP of 'dog-whistle transphobia'
A Labour MP has defended accusing a Conservative politician of making “transphobic” comments during a heated House of Commons debate.
Lloyd Russell-Moyle said he wrote to Conservative MP Miriam Cates to acknowledge the tone of his remarks were a “mistake”.
He added he failed to control his “passion” but also insisted “I stand by the words that I said”, noting he “profoundly” disagrees with Ms Cates.
Penistone and Stocksbridge MP Ms Cates had said the Scottish Parliament’s proposed changes to the gender recognition process would make it “vastly easier for a predator to get access to children, to change their sex, to change their gender, with an eye to exploiting loopholes of accessing children and women in particular”.
Ms Cates also raised concerns over the impact on single-sex spaces and said she had recently encountered a “man dressed as a woman” in a restaurant’s toilets and felt frightened at the time.
Mr Russell-Moyle, who was the next speaker, told the Commons on Tuesday: “Goodness me, that speech was probably one of the worst transphobic, dog-whistle speeches that I have heard in an awful long time.
“The idea of linking trans people with predators, frankly, is disgusting and you should be ashamed.”

@Tom what? Why shouldn’t females share changing rooms with each other? I’ve shared changing rooms with women and girls all my life. We aren’t predatory. 96% of sexual assaults are committed by males. Aside from risk, we separate sexes for reasons of dignity and privacy. People with the same sexed bodies feel comfortable naked with each other, in a way people of opposite sex are not. Let’s not pretend any of that isn’t normal social behaviour. There’s no need to play ‘devils advocate’ here. Women and girls are comfortable sharing spaces with each other and always have been. We do not want men in our changing rooms. That’s fairly normal.
@Tom No. plenty of surveys have been done on this, statistically unisex bathrooms and toilets are less safe as the vast majority of public sexual assaults happen in unisex spaces over sex separated spaces. No woman I know wants to share changing rooms with men. Every public changing space I’ve used has a couple of optional private changing cubicles. They’re rarely used as women and girls are mostly comfortable changing together. Women rarely commit sexual assault and rarer still in public spaces. I am not projecting my own opinions at all. I’m telling you as a woman what happens in female spaces and what both data and females I know tell me. The vast vast majority of people, men and women, are not comfortable changing or using bathrooms that are mixed sex. Most are happy to change with members of the same sex. There is options for those few who are not. You are being silly to suggest there’s any significant issue with women sharing spaces with girls. It’s really insulting to try and lump women into the same risk category as men. Safeguarding policies are designed to limit risk and treat men as significantly higher risk than women.

Aside from the women's prisons and toilets issue with the potential of predators to get a certificate without diagnosis to invade women's spaces, you could get men, under Scottish hate crime law, putting across accusations against female waxers or body piercers who only give intimate waxes or piercings to women. They would, after all, have a certificate saying they are a member of the oposite sex. Apart from that, very, very few people who identify as trans or non binary even have gender dysphoria. They are postmodernist attention seekers jumping on a bandwagon. With the increase of these narcissists getting certificates on a whim, it destabilises the idea of gender dysphoria as an actual disorder, meaning that actual sufferers of the disorder are less likely to get any effective counselling. Also, Scotland is effectively a "Progressive" dictatorship. The bill would have opened up the very real possibility of many innocent people, under Scottish hate crime law, being criminalised for dissent against gender postmodernism on a charge of 'hate speech'.

I think that Russell-Moyle's recent violent outburst against Miriam Cates in the House of Commons perfectly sums up the depths to which the transgender debate has sunk. Not only did he refuse to acknowledge that biological men in women's toilets is a direct result of this movement, but he refused to accept that their presence in what was hitherto the exclusive domain of biological women is often terrifying and threatening to them. His response to Miriam Cates' personal account of just such an incident was an extremely violent tirade against her for daring to conflate transgenderism with predatory behaviour against women, something she had not done, and in making that accusation he failed to acknowledge that transgenderism has provided the perfect opportunity for predatory biological males to gain access to women in vulnerable situations.
Russell-Moyle is clearly in denial of this fact, and as such, he is an enabler and a facilitator of this behaviour. His attack on a woman for daring to recount her frightening encounter with a biological male in a woman's' toilet marks him out as a very dangerous man indeed where the safety of women is concerned, given his position as an MP, and someone who appears determined to set the issue back to the standards of the 19th century. His behaviour was alarming and abusive. He epitomises the extent to which the movement he supports has now descended into an outright assault on women and women's rights. The man is a disgrace, and a clear danger to women.
If schizophrenia was treated in the same way that gender dysphoria is treated then doctors would be telling their patients that the voices in their head are real and to listen to them and follow their orders.

Young Lloyd here might want to have a look at recently released MOJ figures regarding who commits the most sexual crimes.
Yes! I have the 2019 figures re trans, male and female sexual predators but can’t find the most recent (2021)? It’s worse. If anyone can drop the right search terms I’d be grateful. I keep getting linked to the 2011 Swedish study on pre and post-op transsexuals showing male pattern criminality. Good but I want the DOJ.,
Until, if too few are aware, they change official stats so that men can be noted as women in which case sexual crimes for women will skyrocket.

This term "dog whistle" infers that someone is saying something but they mean something else, it's a convenient and too often used method to dismiss arguments that are hard to counter. I don't like it, it's really frustrating when people assume that they can know your thoughts and that they are different to your words, you can't base arguments on assumptions you have to base them on words. Also I just watched Miriam Cates & Rosie Duffield stand up in Parliament and say their piece about the Scottish bill before Russell Moyles outburst, they didn't mention Rochdale

He’s a disgrace. Men in general just don’t get what it’s like to be smaller, weaker and sexualized from the day you start to grow breasts (about 10 years old). The real problem we are going to have is the younger generation. They have been taught gender ideology at school and girls,from a young age are told to be kind and that there is something wrong with them if they don’t want to share their spaces. So many primary school teachers are obsessed with gender ideology and these kids are the future of our country!

Took both my kids out of state schools. They go to a traditional trade school set up by parents and backed by small business. Retired school teachers help out. The kids are not taught genda ideology.
