It’s a very nice sling bag and I really do like it. Just had a few small design complaints. For the money “next time” I would just pay a bit more and go with the 12 hour backpack. For my uses I tend to carry more gear…
Get get real heavy, really quick. It could do so much more if it was a bit more stable. I do love this bag and my complaints are only constructive criticism..
Don't count on using the hidden pouch as a quick access method for your CCW. It only works if you have almost nothing in the front pockets. I barely threw stuff in (small flashlight, battery backup charger, multi tool device, pens etc). Small things. and it made the conceal pouch so tight that it was a struggle to slide my hand in easily and grab my HK P30SK out.
I've had this bag for a couple of years, and it's kind of a 50/50 for me. Every time I think it's too small or awkward, and go to another pack, I keep coming back to it. The biggest flaw in the design that I have run into personally, is that I don't like the comms pouch placement. I would have liked that to have been made so that it can be removed or moved. It is handy for some things, but I find that when I carry the bag, it gets in my way. I also wish that the hidden pouch was just a little larger, because as you mentioned, a larger pistol makes it difficult to close. I often EDC a Glock 43X, and that works just fine, but if I carry a double stack it gets a little tight. And of course, space overall is kind of what it is… You sort of have to pick and choose what you're going to carry in it to fit. All that said, after two years of carrying it quite a bit, I have had zero quality issues, and like I said before, it's a bag that I can't seem to just put away and forget about.
Great insight! I totally agree. I’ve only had this 2 years and the times I do go “light” are much fewer so it’s still new feeling. But it is Solid and they goes a long way in my book. The comms pouch is a bit awkward but overall I’m glad it was included.. Think I may try the 511- 12 hour bag as a future purchase ..
Yes I think they should have the pouches like that too her pockets up so when you swing it around and then when you if you want to wear to the other side because it's getting old too heavy have all the pouches automatically turn around to the other way
@@ozarkmountainoutdooradventuresI seen I watched it but. When when you said the other one came with a carry holster what model can you carry. I wouldn't want a generic one. That comes with it since I have 3 different extra carries.
Pro tip: The pocket where you can store the unused side of the ambidextrous sling passes all the way through. Run a nice sturdy belt through there and you'll have your extra point of contact. It helps tremendously.
@@ozarkmountainoutdooradventures I had the same gripe about it not having a stabilizing strap, and it gets heavy on one shoulder pretty quickly and flops around on you. I use a 2" battle belt with a snap buckle that I had and luckily it is about the same coyote sage color as my bag. It's stows away inside that same pocket nicely when not using the belt.

Most of your pet peeves i find to not be my pet peeves. Although i agree that they are valid, they just dont affect how i personally set my bag up. I personally give the bag an 8. The third point of contact is my personal pet peeve that i share with you for sure. It does get heavy quick. But i love this bag. Thia was a great review thanj you for the video!
Thanks man! Yeah the quality is top notch, making it worth getting and putting up with a little pet peeves! It’s a good sling pack. Just wish it had a 3rd anchor point and the pockets originate differently to go across your body!
I really like this coyote tan. Really for what I use it for anything besides a straight black will work. The black in a fall woods setting stands out like a sore thumb. Hmm, Good idea about the adding camo…
Nope I paid $110 for a sling bag that wasn’t nearly as well designed as is should have been…. The best part was the 1020’ denier polyester Vs some $40 packs. Does this have a slot/compartment for a laptop per chance?
I have one, I wouldn't recommend it for a medium/large size laptop. Maybe a tablet?
@jestergodfield690 pretty small pack for a large laptop. There is now a MOAB 8 looks interesting but even smaller…
Just purchased this bag would have to agree with you. Definitely would have been a 10 for me if they added the third support strap.

Absolutely! And will likely need to do this before the upcoming season.

What color is that, FDE or ranger?
I think 511 refers to it as kangaroo.

I picked it up in black, but the sling belt seems cheap and not durable, something is off bout it.
I think Quality is up to par! Just a few design changes would have been nice…
I had mine for about a month before the strap cam out of its stitching. I sent it back and they stitched it back up all for it to come undone again.
Had mine for 8mo now. EDC and duty training. I’m really rough on it. Drag it, toss it, drop it. Held perfect. Just dirty lol
@@Wanderingsamurai_life that’s good to know 511 has good customer service.

Very Nice sling bag!!
Thanks for the support…

A bag tisnsize would be really too heavy for one shoulder to carry. Should be just a regular backpack for that size.
You can’t put much in it before the weight is too much. They should have at the very least added a stabilizer strap.
Such a good review. I will pass this bag and look for something else. Thanks!
Thanks for the support! Yes this is a really good bag however there a few overlooked item that could have made it a Great’ pack!!

I wouldn’t use black regardless for hunting/scouting. Maybe in an urban setting to blend in and look less tactical..
