I don't know any other artist who could sing "i'm sick" acapella like that to a russian audience (and get so much applause! russians aren't usually that expressive but they can't help themselves here, rightfully). Her smile is just the best

Lara gives herself on stage in a way I’ve rarely seen from other artists…maybe legendary francophone singers like Jacques Brel or Edith Piaf who, like Lara, were not scared of being totally vulnerable in front of an audience. That’s the thing : even if Lara has one of the best techniques ever heard in the industry, interpretation always comes first and it’s not about her singing being pretty but being sincere and true to the lyrics. She’s not only singing, she’s living, feeling those songs with her whole body.
