    Colby did not look impressive in the Lawler fight. His cardio appeared good because he did light little punches and Robbie was not even hitting him which would play a big role in his cardio. Also, when he put Robbie against the cage he did nothing with it... just held him against the cage or on the ground.... couldn't do anything impactful. Kamaru looked crazy in the Woodley fight, the amount of work he put in with hard hits to the ribs over and over... Kamaru wouldn't freeze up like Robbie Lawler. The Colby Lawler match is more about Lawler freezing up than Colby performing well.

    Ladies and gentlemen please for the love of god stop getting this Colby vs Robbie fight so wrong, this is beyond ridiculous and you're going to get people making ridiculous bets on the Colby Usman fight and losing shit loads of money -_- go and watch Robbie Lawler vs Rory MacDonald, look at the obvious difference in Robbie's behaviour, also look at what Robbie is having to deal with and how he is mentally choosing to move forwards and attack more regardless, Robbie in this Colby fight somewhat sloppily tried in the first round, then got taken down, and then just gave up entirely, so please please please quit acting like this was world beater Robbie who fought Colby because it absolutely wasn't, this was a Robbie Lawler who has spent years not giving a fuck like he used to, so nothing about this fight proves that Colby can hang with Usman at all because Robbie is not at Usmans level anymore, now I'm not 100% saying that Colby can't hang with Usman, I'm just saying this fight proves nothing.

    Colby's win over RDA was very impressive but I thought it was a favorable match up since RDA's best weapon on the feet is leg kicks so Colby was able to avoid the leg kicks by crowding and pressuring him. On the other hand I thought Robbie was an unfavorable match up because he is extremely hard to keep on the ground and I thought his power would force Colby to back up. However, that only happened in the 5th round and by then it was too late.

    The UFC needs to like measure the length of these morons feet and head size and jaw length and finger lengths after 20-21 to later in their career. It’s quite obvious which guys are showing roid symptoms and which guys are seeing HG gut and head bone growth. Like the beloved St Pierre. Or lesnar. Usman. Lawler. Romero. J Jones. All these guys feeling like they gotta shorten their lives to be competitive. And when someone writes a book like Canseco, or there’s a blowup like with McGuire Sosa Bonds in baseball the damage is done and they lose a lot of fans permanently. It’s time the UFC cleaned up. They’re paying lip service to a fair playing field and fighter health. To them Jones or someone like Lensar are too big of a draw. But they’ll pay a price in the long term making such short-sighted decisions.

  • @amurika2018
    @amurika2018 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    First almost everyone in ATT is on PEDs. Colby’s been on since college days, via Nathan Willard. But Usman as well. Except Colby’s program looks more geared towards epo/blood-dope and mild short half life gear and undetectable fragments, and usman looks to be on a more typical regiment which is bad for shin pumps and excess muscularity and such. All these guys being given a pass by the ufc is a disgrace. Nowitzky is corrupted or doesn’t want to blow the whistle to kill money making fighters but everyone in the game knows what’s up. So it’s charades just for the casual fans. Now as to who’s ducking who. It’s more complicated than that because Usman is the A side but Covington is the “WWE actor”, heel, big draw. So Covington is going to come in demanding favorable terms, and Usmans going to say hey I’m the A side and refuse to sign but when a contract doesn’t get signed it’s not just the side that doesn’t sign that’s the problem, it’s either or both sides that try to aggressively negotiate terms of the contact that are the problem. So it might not happen on the basis of both sides feeling like they should dictate favorable terms for their side, and each side will say the other is ducking and they will both be wrong and both be right. So it’s not like one side is saying I’ll agree to any terms, any time any place, any reasonable split, and sign the contract; and the other side declining to sign. That’s a clear-cut act of ducking but here we have both sides jostling for favorable terms killing the fight. But given its MSG and given Diaz and Masvidal are liked up to fight each other- two guys that would bang for free for street creds, you don’t have any credible match up for either of these guys except against each other and the UFC is going to put pressure on both sides to make this happen. It’ll be interesting. People who’ve said Covington dominated Lawler, everyone knows he doped big time to get a second wind and is now easing off. So he’s a killer and certainly not done but two times over his prime, once extended with PEDs so am I surprised he seems so tame lately? No not really. ATT is undoubtedly one of the most doped up camps out there. I can’t say it’s better than AKA where they’re overtraining and constantly getting injured. It’s a brutal sport. What is there to say. Real fans know what’s really going on here.

Or knowing your good enough and could win but physically not being able to...Its frustrating and demoralizing in a way. But nothing is more tiring then chain wrestling, changing levels, shooting...nothing makes you more exhausted then that. So its fucking impressive what Colby is able to do. Especially while throwing down more volume then Max Holloway for christs sake....spectacular shit. Set record for most attempted strikes, Most significant strikes landed and has more takedowns then any active welterweight. 2nd all time highest winning percentage in WW history. 1 of only 3 guys to have 10+ TDs or more in 3 consecutive fights. The way Colby strikes kinda reminds me of Nick Diaz but instead of mixing weaker strikes to set up power strikes like Diaz. Colby mixes weaker strikers with takedowns. If Colby can add just one good power punch to his game, like connors left straight or Hendos Right hook. Colby would be unstoppable.
