Omg! Thank you so much for teaching me what an idiot I am! I've always thought you had to find a tiny brush & be SUPER CAREFUL when you have to color in the numbers! Your way is FAR SUPERIOR; it's easier (obviously) and the end result is actually much nicer also! I can't believe my whole life I've never known this! Now, I've never actually made any dice, nor had to color in any numbers, but if I ever do, now I'll know how to slop it on there & then just wipe off the extra like a pro! You rock! I'm so thrilled to have learned this trick! 🎉 Seriously, its still blowing my mind! ♡♡♡
Just poured my final cap mold, this is my second go at making dice lol. I hope this turns out even though I don’t have a pressure pot. I view you as a friend as you and rybonator have really helped me through this tough period of my life, my girlfriend attempted suicide and is in the hospital, she’s in terrible condition and I haven’t talked to her in weeks. I don’t really have people to talk to abt this so watching you really helps my mind get off of things. I just wanted to say thanks. And if you have any tips I’d love some on dice or handling emotions. Sorry to bother or put all this on you, you don’t need to think much of this. Wishing the best!
Those are gorgeous! Awesome job and hope you do more videos. I love watching dice get made. Can’t wait until I have all my stuff and can start making my own
PS it would be cool to see either an uncommon Petri dish dice (maybe with glow in the dark inks or something), or I’m not sure if it would even work but maybe see how silicone oil would work as an effect on dice. I’ve seen some cool effects on resin coasters and stuff but it may not work for dice. But would be cool to see if it does. 👍🏻
This is awesome! Thank you so much for the tutorial, these look incredible!!!!!! Also love your tutorial style with the little remarks that pop up on screen while you're explaining your process lol. Can't wait for more!
Those dice look gorgeous. 😊 Could you add a link to the mini pottery wheel that you used in the video in the description too please? You've added links for everything else but that. 😅
Hey there, I just wanna say, that those dice are among the most beautiful set I've seen! These are truly amazing! It's clear (pun intended) that you're really talented! If you don't mind, you got yourself a new sub!
Congrats for the video. Beautiful dice! I'm learning how to make dice so this is really helpfull. I'm having trouble making molds, It would be nice to see your technique.
I morally can't leave a like because the video's already at 69 but let me tell you this is a great tutorial! Tahnk you so much for sharing your technique!
Very nice video but I do have one question about the alcohol inks, specifically the red one I’ve been trying to get a deep red transparent color for some of my dice but every red alcohol ink I’ve tried always leaves me with something more like. Neon orange
These are amazing! I'm just getting into dice making, and I'm curious, why use the alcohol inks as opposed to a translucent ink? Or is there not a real difference and you just used what you had?
LOVE the video! First of all, badass tutorial ty! And second I appreciate you showing the real side of resin work 🤣😂 this is what my table/molds etc actually look like and I also use and reuse popsicle sticks 😋💕 Totally subbed to ya! 🥰
I just tried making my own hellfire dice and it looks like I should have listened more carefully. I only let my resin sit for 10 minutes after mixing and then got nervous about it getting too thick (first time trying with resin at the honey stage). So the black ink mixed in more than I would have liked. The dice look ok after inking, but I’m going to try this again for sure! Thanks for the video!
Gorgeous dice! Do you think they could also work with some light inclusions (like gold or copper foil)? I guess that could mess up the swirling of the black ink, but it might be worth a shot. Liked and sub'd. Looking forward to more videos!
I know that dicemaking is a bit niche, but how do you only have 800 or so subscribers? This was a super clear tutorial with good camera angles and a nice splash of humor (that poor spoon falling off the bench).
I was just looking at the shop and I was wondering how you got that rutilated look of the "Ametrine Dream" set. Would you consider doing a video on that?
Love the video and I'm just starting a new set of molds from my first 3d printed masters that I did myself so this popped up at just the right time. I also have one of those mini-pottery wheels that I can use for sanding but I've had some problems using it. I think it's a 3.9" wheel and I have a small mirror taped onto it since I didn't think the alluminum would be smooth enough. But then I'm kinda stuck using blue tape on the zona papers and the actual area I end up being able to sand with is pretty small. I noticed in the video that you didn't tape the zona paper down but it still seems to stick really well. I have some spray adhesive (super 77) but it's so lumpy that I didn't think it'd work well. How are you sticking the paper down to the wheel when sanding and do you have to clean the wheel off before putting the next zona paper down?
@@ashers9695 And they stick while sanding? I can pull that off when I'm using my marble tiles to sand flat but the ridges on the alumininum wheel didn't seem like they could be able to generate the suction to hold the paper on without any adhesive/tape
Is it possible to do any nice dice without pressure pot? I tried few times and I have like huge air pockets in some dice, even though I filled mold fully. Literally can’t even google what to do with it :(
@@eileen.prince Yeah, it's REALLY hard to get bubble free dice without a pressure pot. I've always had one, so unfortunately, I can't recommend how to fix that problem.
another awesome dice maker to add to my subscription list. I like the technique you used to get the smoky ink to stay so distinct in the resin. I'll have to give it a try myself on a future set.
I love the idea, but is it me.... How can she work like that? I am not by no means a hospital sterel guy, but I couldn't work with all that mess on my table or around. 😮
This is one of those times where while we know what you are talking about, pronunciation matters. What you are working with is Silicone not Silicon. SiliCONE is that rubbery substance that your molds are made of as well as many other non-stick items. SiliCON is what your computer chips are made of.
Loving that gold inking ;) Great looking set my friend!
Thanks a bunch. You know I gotta go with gold for this!
ok that spoon calling out for help at 4:08 was funny tho

Haha, I tried to be super careful when I first started inking dice, but nah. It's not worth it when I've got like 30 dice to ink.
amazing, also cleared up some other questions I had about dice casting all together, thank you!
Thank you for a clear tutorial with so many useful tips!
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I’ve made these several times cannot get over how gorgeous they are. ❤

Gorgeous! My inner dice goblin is screaming! I cannot wait to try this! :D
Omg saw these on TikTok and took a try at them, love how they came out but will have to take another shot with your tips! Thanks for the video!
Very cool to see a real workshop (where work gets done) rather than the sterile, photo-friendly and wasteful making spaces usually out there.
I'm going to try Hellfire dice this weekend. 👍 Thanks!

I really enjoyed your video and seeing this dice making process. Well done! So glad you started a You Tube Channel!! Can't wait to see more.

I will definitely be making a mold making tutorial soon!
cool dice!
What is the name of the sanding machine you are using?
What a cool technique, thanks for sharing!
wow. Normally not a big fan of sharp edges. But these are amazing
When my Masters arrive I will try this out. Also with different colors. Since I have a character with red smoke effects ;)
Great technique~!
They’re very beautiful, I’ll have to try this method sometimes.
Give it a try! And tag me if you do. I wanna see other people's attempts.

Was the pressure pot you got a hard set up. I see some of these videos and it looks like extra steps are taken to make suitable for dice
I saw this pop up in my suggested videos and thought: "Hey, I know those dice!"
Are you just using water to stick the zona to the pottery wheel?
I love the hellfire effect! Do you think it would also work with a drop of white ink instead of black? Thank you for the tutorial! ✨
White ink sinks in a way that black doesn't, so I would wait for the resin to get a little more honey-y before you pour.
Thank you for the answer!! I'll definitely try to wait a bit then! ✨
These are so pretty, and that D4 looks way less dangerous than the Caltrops my metal ones are like.
That's why I like them, haha
Que máquina es la que usas para evitar las burbujas?
Would love to see how you do Petri style dice. I still can't get those right
I already have plans for that!
I have trouble getting my resin in and out of pipettes. Any tips?
I have 2 quick questions 1 where did you get your pottery spinner thing and 2 how long can you use zona papers for?
Amazon. And they last for a couple of sets.

Probably because I only had 3 videos. But I'm fixing that now!

Oh yeah, I can do that! It's a dirty pour with pigment pastes.
Where did you get your Master dice? I love the shape of the D4, & D10 and cannot find them anywhere.
I designed them myself.
Ah they are very nice. I am trying to find someone who sells masters of shard/ gem dice.@@dragonknightdice272
How did you get the Zona Papers to stick to the wheel and still have a flat surface?
Just water. I just dunk them in some water and press them to the wheel. As long as you keep it wet, it won't fly off across the room TOO often, haha.
nice! 👍👍

Not sure about the speeds on your specific sander but I have a lot of success just using water with zona papers even on my bench sander :)
