Thank you! It has been a while since we had the back up system installed and our next outing with the camper. So when we got ready to go it didn’t work. We couldn’t figure it out. We were camping a short distance away and just left without the camera working. So now we are going a long distance and I really need it working. So I tried everything. Then I watched your video. Ding ding ding…bells went off when you talked about the lights. So I went back outside to try it….yes…that was the problem. It is now working. They need to give you a check list of all the things to do when turning the system on. Lol! I won’t forget to turn my lights from auto to manual anymore!
Thank you for this awesome video. I have a 24 Jeep Grand Cherokee L and tow a Jayco Jayfeather Micro 199MBS and we have the Vision S 3-way system and could only get the rear camera to stay on. I'm hoping this fixes the issue as I'd love to be able to use the side cameras, specially when you put on the turn signal and switch lanes or merge. I did read on the Amazon reviews of someone losing their trailer brakes with this? any issues with the brake controllers? Thanks again!

First, thanks for the video! This info should be on Lipperts/Furrions sites. It not on any truck manufacturer site. I've been looking all day for info on this. I'm installing a rear with side marker cameras now. I started looking for information once I discovered that 2020+ GM trucks had this Power Management System that used Pulse Code Modulation for the trucks lights. I realized it now made sense that when you see videos of these trucks the lights are flickering and the video refresh rate was catching it in action. The Furrion Cameras are designed to work within the 8-30VDC range. I found another video where a guy measured the voltage sent to the marker lights and due to the PCM it was 7 volts. He just installed a switch in the camper umbilical cord J-box to provide constant power to the marker lights when switched on. Two drawbacks to that. If you leave the switch on without power to you camper you will drain the battery eventually and if you forget to turn it on you won't have power to the marker lights or cameras. The former is a bigger problem than the later as you will likely realize you forgot to turn the power on when the cameras don't work. While the switch is easy to install I chose the adapter. I had a 2016 Silverado that the camera system worked great, got a 2018 GMC Denali 2500 and the camera does not work. I have heard that this issue is common on 2500/3500 trucks as early as 2018. I have bought the adapter but I haven’t hooked it up yet. Crossing my fingers this is the issue.
I have the same problem. I am just going to wire the rv light to the hot lead from the truck at the junction box under the pin head and disconnect running light lead from truck. A switch under the nose of 5th wheel to turn on when starting the journey and turn off when parked for longer times. Of course with a fuse. Just and alternate way.
So i have a Ram truck and the camera works in mine. When my dad pulls it with his f150 the camera doesn't work. It powers up but there's no picture. So we would need this adapter?
Just purchased the 3 camera set for my 21 GD 295rl. Friend installer it and it's not working with my 15 Gmc 3500. Do I need this switch. I'm pulling my hair out. Tia
OH man, I just got a new Chevy 2500HD, hooked up to my trailer and the camera did not work. Been trouble shooting this for days, even bought new camera as when its plugged into the monitor it works. Figured it was a range issue with the camera failing. Thank you for this. You can find the answers to everything on youtube.

Furroin really dropped the ball on this one! If I had any hair, I'd have pulled it out! LOL! Well I'm glad you camera is now working with the new adapter! The Left blinker could possibly be a wiring issue, but the brake light is pretty straight forward. Which leads me to believe there may be a problem with the unit. Hard to say or come up with a diagnosis without put'n eyes on it. Wish I could be of more help! If you do find a Fix please update me. I'm sure theirs others with the same problem. Thank you Gerard!

What exactly was your symptom? I'm measuring 14v at camera prep wire on the back of the trailer but the LED power indicator light on the camera never turns on and I get no signal on the monitor If I plug the camera into the 12 V socket directly in powers right up Was this your problem? It would not power up at all?
@@pokernews916 no my issue was more with getting power to the cameras. If you have power there, try and turn the aux light switch on in your truck, that might be the issue. I know I have to do this in mine. However! If you are not getting the full voltage this adapter will help!

Can you just display the backup and side cameras on the main screen without the "door" camera being blank?
Where is the connection for the toy hauler to the truck. can’t find the wiring from the toy hauler that connects to the truck

You use the monitor that comes with the camera. It will not show in the vehicle camera screen

You will need the furrion screen, although I have seen accessories that can produce the video on the g m c screen.
