Because they aren't interested in using a protest to cause unnecessary violence which is what a lot of Western society does, and is why protests largely go ignored in our side of the world. They love their country, and they have respect for where they live, which is why they are able to fight so accurately without senseless violence that doesn't serve to achieve their goal. They have a very specific target, and that is to protect their freedom HK have had all these years. Going out to cause violence and looting would completely go against this goal and give China more reasons to go forwards, in addition to simply causing destruction to their home. The only destruction of property are the Cameras and Police equipment, which is assisting the oppression they are trying to avoid...no one is destroying shops or anything.

You're actually far too late. Since then, China has completely swallowed HK. The new security laws mean if you protest, LIFE IN PRISON. No allowances. Somehow this stopped all protests in their tracks.. Hong Kong is gone...

In the USA there are many legislative levels protecting the individual's rights which I find very agreeable. However, in China there are very few laws protecting an individual's rights, but many to protect the government.

Hong Kong came a long way in the last 25 years. There were many rude people everywhere the first time I visited 25 years ago, they had a bad reputation back then. Apparently they learned their lesson and changed for the better. I was teaching in Guangzhou from 2009 to 2013, and frequently visited Hong Kong since it was only 2 hours bus ride. My experience was totally different, people would go out of their way to help with directions and polite. I feel their pain now 😞

There are allegations that those who can't be "re-educated" are being sent to forced labor camps and having organs harvested. If a million people rose up in revolt, no matter, how well they are equipped, the military will beat them down. The US military is far more powerful than Chinas and would have avsolutely no difficulty destroying a bunch of people with guns and tanks.
@@vanbaguette7368 It depends on the tactics and strategy of the revolt. Yes, fighting the United States in a conventional war with tanks and other vehicles will end in failure or a pyrrhic victory. But if they employ unconventional tactics, if it comes down to it, Terrorism and Guerilla Warfare will be significantly harder to defeat. You can look at examples in the Middle East and Vietnam. Find a way to boil down the engagements into soldier on soldier, remove the advantage of superior firepower, and victory is yours.

Depends on how many protesters there are. For every possible opinion there is always some group in a society. You may see 1000 people protesting on the street which may seem like the entire city is going rampage, but if there are 50 million people in your city then that’s only 0.002% sharing that opinion. Also, this clip is very biassed towards supporting the protesters. If they filmed the documentary from the side of the government then all the viewers would be supporting the government at once… People watching these videos are letting them being dragged into the opinion of the filmer.

Differences between the protesters in Hong Kong and USA: The Hong Kong protesters are all anti-communism. The Hong Kong protesters do NOT turn into looters and they only fight against the cops, not against the business owners. Now the Hong Kong protesters are not allowed to protest even peacefully. They would be beaten and arrested even when they protest peacefully. The U S protesters are mostly pro-socialism or pro-communism. Many US protesters have turned into looters who fight against the cops as well as the business owners. The US protesters are allowed to protest peacefully. Only when they turn into looters and rioters do the police use non-lethal force to arrest them. The only thing in common is that both of them are against police brutality.

Because they aren't interested in using a protest to cause unnecessary violence which is what a lot of Western society does, and is why protests largely go ignored in our side of the world. They love their country, and they have respect for where they live, which is why they are able to fight so accurately without senseless violence that doesn't serve to achieve their goal.
They have a very specific target, and that is to protect their freedom HK have had all these years. Going out to cause violence and looting would completely go against this goal and give China more reasons to go forwards, in addition to simply causing destruction to their home. The only destruction of property are the Cameras and Police equipment, which is assisting the oppression they are trying to avoid...no one is destroying shops or anything.

Hong Kong came a long way in the last 25 years. There were many rude people everywhere the first time I visited 25 years ago, they had a bad reputation back then. Apparently they learned their lesson and changed for the better. I was teaching in Guangzhou from 2009 to 2013, and frequently visited Hong Kong since it was only 2 hours bus ride. My experience was totally different, people would go out of their way to help with directions and polite. I feel their pain now 😞

Find a way to boil down the engagements into soldier on soldier, remove the advantage of superior firepower, and victory is yours.

Depends on how many protesters there are. For every possible opinion there is always some group in a society. You may see 1000 people protesting on the street which may seem like the entire city is going rampage, but if there are 50 million people in your city then that’s only 0.002% sharing that opinion. Differences between the protesters in Hong Kong and USA:
The Hong Kong protesters are all anti-communism.
The Hong Kong protesters do NOT turn into looters and they only fight against the cops, not against the business owners.
Now the Hong Kong protesters are not allowed to protest even peacefully. They would be beaten and arrested even when they protest peacefully.
The U S protesters are mostly pro-socialism or pro-communism.
Many US protesters have turned into looters who fight against the cops as well as the business owners.
The US protesters are allowed to protest peacefully. Only when they turn into looters and rioters do the police use non-lethal force to arrest them.
