"Fist City" "The Pill" & "One on the Way" are great songs by Loretta Lynn and prove just how far ahead of her time she was. She is funny and serious about what is right.

I saw her live when she was 83. She was great. It was a small venue and that made it better

Her songs were sung with a smile on her face but were written in sadness. Married at 14 and went straight to Nashville, her husband worked as her manager. While she worked herself to exhaustion, nervous breakdowns, having baby after baby; her husband kept her constantly booked and constantly cheated on her.

Mrs Loretta is a legend. I'm in my 50's, from Louisiana. I grew up listening to her. She's still alive and well and she's 89 years old.

Ms Loretta wrote and sung several songs like this and she meant every word. Doo had a drinking problem and had some problems over the years but he loved Ms Loretta and she sure loved him. You would like the movie Coal Miners daughter. It's about her life. She had a hand in making the movie because she wanted the real story to be told. Sissy Spacek was PERFECT playing Loretta Lynn and did most of the singing herself. She won a lot of Awards for her acting in that movie and her and Ms Loretta became good friends.

Her husband, Doo, was a playa. There's a story that she was doing a concert in Vegas & a woman came saying she had been with Doo & she started after the woman, walking across the tables in her long dress
he was but he always went back to Loretta. there's also one story of a woman saying that he was going to leave Loretta for him and he responded by bringing Loretta and the kids to her house and telling her this is my family and embarrassing the woman

Loretta lynn is referred to as the first lady of country music. This song she wrote in like 15 mins after a conversation with a fan. Loretta was born and raised in Kentucky she was married by 14 and moved with her husband to Washington state then moved to nashville had 4 kids before she was 18. Her last 2 kids were twin girls one of which she named after her best friend pasty cline. When she first got her start alot of country radio stations would not play alot of her music. She still writes music and before covid was touring. You really have to check out her movie coal miners daughter it's it's a great movie to this day even though I have seen it thousands of times I can put that movie on and just listen to the music in the movie.

Loretta Lynn is one of the greats and one of the earliest successful women of country music who is still recording and making albums. She had a great album out earlier this year. I love how savage she is and that the entire time she's calling out the other woman she dose it with a smile on her face! 🤣🤣🤣

It stars Sissy Spacek playing Loretta in her journey to stardom and she won the Oscar for best actress for the role. The film has many great Loretta classics in it all performed by Spacek who does a wonderful job portraying Loretta.
