The Millennial's are doing way better job on these videos than Discovery channel ever did. Hats off to them and Richard for putting this show together . SO glad mikes back too...Best painter.
Me and m6 wife take care of my elderly dad since my mom passed in 2021. One of me and his favorite things is watching fast n loud and gas monkey garage vids. While I'm under no delusions of ever owning a GMG car. Seeing my dad smile at all the hotrods on your show. Is a blessing in itself. So from the bottom of my heart thank you Richard for the wonderful moments Me and my dad have watching you and your guys and dreaming of someday cruising around in a genuine Gas Monkey hot rod.
Coy, your the fuckn man bro, your painting skills are one of if not the best ive ever seen here and in person... Thank you for coming back and for all your hard work and late nights bustn ass on gettin these awesome builds done.. COY For President
I was interested to see the laser rust removal and how it stacked up to sandblasting. Felt like kind of a dud when they said they had to still sandblast after the lasering was done. Would be curious to know time and cost comparison of the two methods.
Yes! Look I’m not even going to say that at at first when you said that you would build the C10, I wasn’t disappointed that what you just said for this Ford wasn’t the plan, but I was impressed with the outcome. I love the idea of making this a resto mod patina build with as many original parts as possible and making it bad ass in less than 2 months, hell yeah totally an old school Gas Mokey build. Never got into patina builds because “reality TV” car shows showed me you could take a beater to a perfection in a few months 😂 not really, but that’s what they wanted us to think. Since real builders have taken over YT we really get to see the work, and so much less drama. Now I have a thing for patina on the right vehicles.
I agree it was dumb when people started doing it 10 years ago. They used to talk about it on fast and loud all the time. Thought it was dumb then think it's dumb now
It’s one of those things where u have to choose between patina. Or giving a full complete paint. Which is very expensive and time consuming. And they will not receive the money they put in if they paint. The way they leave it if someone loves it and wants to paint. That’s all they need to fo
That truck could have been blasted and primed and left over the weekend to shrink. The whole Patina thing is great and all if you're not able to paint but you can just hit it with the factory single stage 😢
My thoughts have always been: I fear what can't be seen. If someone takes the cheap and lazy path with the exterior, what do they skip that can't be seen?
I wish gas monkey or someone would build an old school lifted truck for once!!!! The stuff they build is awesome don’t get me wrong but how about getting away from the same stuff they’ve been building! I’m talking lifted with 44’s with 15-16 inch rims not 20’s or bigger with a crazy horsepower motor, super loud exhaust cool paint job, ya know something that would’ve been done in the 90’s/2000’s go old school
I still like the patina fad. Should make front bench seat look like you pulled a booth out of a Sambo's restaurant. Over stuffed, tuck and roll vinyl, maybe an orangey-brownish-rust-copper color.
Totally want to see more building and fabricating. Way more relatable to the average guy working at home in his garage. Content that viewers can connect with. I mean super cars and high ticket stuff is cool, but I mean it's not really relatable to most people; most people are just getting by. Millennials are doing better than discovery; really like the 30min to 1hr content. Would like more content though like 2 videos a week aha
Awesome episode guy, it’s looking great and starting to come together. Can’t wait for the next episode to see what’s in store for the next leg of the build!
We have a laser cutter/welder/cleaner in our home shop, when you said you’re getting the chassis lasered, I thought this would be interesting, they are slow and ineffective. They are more hype than function. Better of leaving laser to small intricate projects. Our ghostbusters chassis was sandblasted and powdercoated
It would be nice to win one of these. I have never won anything off the internet. I would have to have hand controls put in to drive it. Good luck to everyone who entered to win . I lost both my legs above the knees at my job in 1993. I have to have a automatic transmission. That is why i said i would need hand controls installed before I can drive them. I been driving from age 29 to now i am 60 years old now. Good luck all !!!
I love their shows and it's awesome Richard is free and not tied to discovery to wear he can't do himself. Only thing I wish is that they pushed more shows out a week. At least 2 and be like the goonzquad kids and do 3 a week. I mean having Mike back as the painter and just his personality is awesome. Even when the guys go on the trips it's just amazing tv. Doesn't always have to be working on builds to push the awesome content.

Thanks for watching 🤘🔥
Thank you for the love 🤘🏼
Agree 😁🇬🇸👍
Yeah, it was rough at first but they are definitely figuring it out. The shows keep getting better and better with the camera crew.
Get ur viewers to choose the car, the mod style, the engine, wheels, paint. Makes people really feel involved! Love it
They did 😂😂😂and
I get pick car
Congrats RR and GM team. This is one of the best channels on TH-cam. Y'all are killing it
I'd love it if the episodes were longer too. However, I'm glad Gas Monkey is still around doing builds. I can't wait to see what comes next in 2024.
Hello how are you doing?
@Hedrickbaby I'm doing great how about you?
@@TylerVogel am fine where are you from?
That's my actual dream truck build right there!!..my all time favorite truck style!! Can't wait to see it finished
Hello how are you doing?
The best FORD truck ever built! I love it!
What a gorgeous machine

Back in the day there was a factory root beer metallic color for these trucks. That would be my choice
Paint it!!!

Excellent video. Now you're doing it right! 👌👍👌
Take a colour sample from the orust and do a cool matt orange/rust matched finish for the engine bay, interior and underside..
I was interested to see the laser rust removal and how it stacked up to sandblasting. Felt like kind of a dud when they said they had to still sandblast after the lasering was done. Would be curious to know time and cost comparison of the two methods.
Laser might be over priced VS. Dry ice or walnut shells.

Finally something I'll watch
Someone been running Quaker State in that engine.
Quaker Sludge, get it right.
I'm from Germany, even we've heard about Quaker Sludge.
Finally a new build. Keep it up lads!
Interior colour, P 51D cockpit, instruments air frame worthy, noice F100 thou
Apart from the paint I was bang on the money. That's going to be one bad arse truck.
Rust Busters did amazing laser work on this truck! Very impressive-
They going for patina but remove the rust...........lipstick on a pig
I love your smart thinking
Not a fan of "patina" but you guys are definitely doing a great job as usual. Can't wait to see more.
agree patina is getting old
"patina" always was trash. That's a nice truck, paint the stupid thing.
I agree it was dumb when people started doing it 10 years ago. They used to talk about it on fast and loud all the time. Thought it was dumb then think it's dumb now

Happy to watch GMG do builds again!! GYSOT!!

Interior... saddle/light brown. I know how much Richard hates blue. :D It goes with the patina.
A Hurst shifter would make it more period correct. A wood deck in the bed of the truck with chrome accents would be sweet!
And a nice paint job........
Galaxy Grey. Looks amazing
Love the 78 with the rectangle head lights makes me miss the one i had 👍
Should definitely paint the truck!!
great truck to build, what about oxblood or deep cherry for the interior along with the patina with alittle sauce on it.
The best year and the 77’ are my fave
Man I love this truck! Have one just like it.
I would have loved to see a paint job
He doesn't want to paint it because then he would have to pay Mike Big bucks
A new build series, YES!
That beautiful can of garage beer has to be part of that build. It looks like art sitting on the hood. ❤😊
Great work guys!
This is what we want to see, looking forward to this one
Patina boo!!!!
Thank you guys for leaving the color! I love the natural look!

Something very cool is emerging from that old pick up...Can't wait until the next video..

Absolutely luv it!!,😎🤙
No patina 😮
Excited about this build. But, don't you guys get tired of walking past the Riviera? Finish that thing! 😛
Ready for part 2 of the build video already. Teaser
Looking good so far
Awesome to see the show back..
With ALL this great work being done... I say... Paint the whole thing, and have it look shiny brand new. 😊
But not Green! 😅
Original colour
WOW! What A Awesome Truck!
“Patina” fad can’t end soon enough…
Man.this is nice patina though on this one.
Patina is ugly like a squatted truck
Just like artisanal bar drinks. Just gimme a beer.
@bammerbiff1621 😂 facts brother
Made up fad by restorers to save money properly painting vehicles which takes so many hours due to prep and body work.
I still like the patina fad. Should make front bench seat look like you pulled a booth out of a Sambo's restaurant. Over stuffed, tuck and roll vinyl, maybe an orangey-brownish-rust-copper color.
Rock on boys !
Badass videos can wait for the rest of the videos
Gonna be a one of a kind and I like all ideas they have for this truck

This is a awesome episode guys! Rock on! Shout out to the crew and Richard Rawlings 👍👍👍
Excellent crew! Excited to see how this turns out!
NO MORE PATINA! That’s the lazy way out. Might as well paint it flat black, with red wheels and call it a “rat rod”
Hello how are you doing?
this is cool project! Cant wait next part
Most have no idea how tough these old fords are. I have had a dozen f100’s from 67-79
🔥 🔥 can’t wait to see your amazing 1978 Ford the best model you guys are the best of the world 🌎 industry to customize
It looks good so far. Great work, gentlemen.

Richard put down the Welder! It's embarrassing 😂😂
❤❤ Just clean it up paint it up and drop it 460 edit and be done with it you've been a good clear coat paint job

❤ But on the doors doing old school emblem that looks like an old gasoline truck from the 50s but has a beer truck emblem on the side😊
I'd paint the insert on the sides. Like a faded orange to go with the patina.
Lime green under the hood and interior
Those are some heavy duty old trucks..I had one and it was a decent truck for hauling, even by todays standards. Hard to beat a gen 3
Green and black camouflage 😊
For years guys on TV shows were doing complete costume rotisserie restomods in "7 days"
They have a deadline........😂
We need this content in Portuguese, I've known this series since it debuted on Discovery, I've missed watching Richard❤
*Very nice video, cool to following the build :D greetings from Norway!!
Great job again.
You have a bad ass painter so let him paint the truck.
Flat red black trim 335 in the back
If this truck is eventually for sale, there'd be a bigger market and more profit if they Painted it!
Richard thinks he's being hip though. 🤦♂️
Patina has faded out..........😂
Patina is over!
78 and 79 Effies. Best trucks Ford ever built.
I really love and enjoy watching this show! 👍
candy rootbeer paint
interior would look good with patina
Patina has faded out......😂
Nascar manual transmission only need the clutch 1st gear and reverse very kick ass 😎
Looking good team
I'll see it with its patina but shiny polished varnish!
Another project, make us dream!
ps: Message from France !
