i read of a couple who met at a star trek convention where she only spoke portugese and he only spoke french, so they communicated in klingon. true love finds a way i guess.
Seconding this. And if you're having a hard time polishing the areas that have been soldered, you can try using a silver polishing cloth or as a last resort, you can ask a local jeweler to help clean it.
I got a Korean massage when I was in SoKo and it was one of the most exhilarating and terrifying experiences of my life, owing to the fact that I had no idea what was going to happen and no way to communicate with anyone about it. At the end, though, she splashed milk on my face? Is this normal? Was she fucking with me because I'm a foreigner? It keeps me up at night.
Hi Allison, I wear sterling silver all the time and tarnish is very easy to clean. Vinegar, water and baking soda will strip the tarnish and you can purchase silver jewellery cleaner with rags that are specific for silver and sterling silver. Let your ring soak in the solution for 10 minutes, rinse it off and then rub the excess tarnish off with the rag.
I need a deep dive Reddit thread about these two's partners and their breakup history. In some ways I hate to pry and bring up old history, in other ways I'm just trying to keep this twisted web straight in my brain.
I know, right? It's embarrassing and feels like it's crossing into parasocial territory but I was like couldn't be that ex... prolly D then... and dove into the comment section... 🐽
I invited my ex to my wedding, he was there, and then my husband’s ex (who was invited to our wedding but couldn’t make it) invited us to HIS wedding. Normalize friendships based on knowing one of the grooms at the wedding better than anyone else at your table. :p
I have been following y’all for over ten years and met you in San Francisco in 2019 (I was the one who told you about my herpes) and I’m commenting for the first time because Allison’s story made me almost piss my pants. Thanks for reading!
Korean body scrub (called “seshin”) is a truly unique experience. During a Korean body scrub, you'll be lying naked on a table while warm water is splashed on you, and your body is vigorously scrubbed from head to toe by someone until every last dead skin cell has been washed away and what's left is a shiny new you. Basically the massage is more for exfoliation rather than for your muscles.
@@karlavaldivia2058 wow I saw this at a massage place that I was looking at online and they didn’t explain it at all 😂 what a coincidence that this comment entered my life a couple hours later ❤
So I looked up as an Italian what kind of massage therapy thing Allison could have gotten cuz acqua just means water. Anyway, it sounded like the Vichy shower treatment were the water itself is supposed to be doing the massage that is y the different intensity. The temperatures changes are to help the skin absorb the oils and nutrients in the scrub product while the cold water helps elasticity it. I am sorry it wasn’t enjoyable, but what I can tell u from my experience going to aestheticians, most of the time they start the treatment on a medium to intensity and then they regulate depending on how the customer feels. Language barrier was not very romantic unfortunately there. First time I heard Gabe's voice in a while, u sound awesome!
Maybe its because you handmade your own jewelry and the chlorine in the pool affected it. Just buy a jewelry polishing cloth, works in seconds. Sterling silver oxidizes over time no matter what.
Okay so about banter in a different language - by partner is german and we met in Berlin where I live. My german is pretty good but I am still self-conscious of it and I always felt like I can't show my amazing personality speaking german. Well it turns out my unbelievable sense of humour destroys all barriers and I was able to carry out the conversation ever since. Also, now after 1,5 years I feel much more secure in my german and I'm much less afraid to use it in a funny way, where I would just switch to English before.
You can clean the tarnish off your ring! There’s silver cleaning cloths that I use that are wildly affordable and work so well! Connoisseurs is the brand.
Ring fixing tip: For silver tarnishing you can buy "silver cloths" to clean them. These help clean off the tarnish and should make the ring extra shiny. These are what my friends that are professional musicians use to keep their instruments super shiny. Might be worth looking up?
Ring: Put aluminum foil in the bottom of a heat-safe cup, put the ring on the foil, cover the ring with baking soda (not baking powder - must be soda), then pour boiling water over it.
My dad bought my mom this little jewelry cleaning device that you fill with water and i think some kind of cleaner but it also vibrates to get the tarnish off and she uses it all the time. It's like the size of a guinea pig.
Ah a sonic jewelry cleaner, my dad got my mum one too. Hers doesn't clean that well but idk if it's a brand issue, a price issue or what is the cause. The sonic cleaner is ok for surface tarnish and light problem but my mum still cracks out the silver dip and toothbrush for tougher jobs.
Allison, since you got married in Italy make sure you also do your vows in the united states. My cousin did that and they tried to get divorce and because it wasn't done in the US they were not married and she got nothing. So go to the courthouse or vegas and say your vows in the United States so if you get divorced they will recognize the marriage.
My friend and I got a "couples" massage in a 5-star hotel in Beijing, we were two girls but clearly they didn't factor that in when assigning our masseuses. My friend got the female masseuse and had a very relaxing massage, so relaxing she fell asleep. I had the male masseuse and wow. Chinese style massage is already no joke, but this guy was working on me like I was a male bodybuilder made of granite. My back hurt for a week afterward.
I'm the kind of person that needs a partner who shares a language we're both fluent in. My parents aren't fluent in the same languages and communication is very difficult, so many arguments and miscommunications. It's hard to learn languages when you work full time and have kids. It sucks because it rules out a lot of people but I couldn't do it
That's a nice story. Everybody gets along and no hard feelings despite the breakup. Is the ex in this story the one that wanted to split the cost of the engagement ring? Or was this some other ex?
Take some aluminum foil. Place it on the bottom of a bowl. A spoonful of baking soda on top. Hot water. Throw the ring in a few seconds and take out and clean with dry cloth. Use chopsticks or tongs to take it out cuz the water is hot.
I got these instructions when I bought silver earrings: 1. place small piece of aluminum foil in small bowl. 2. add small spoonful of baking soda. 3. carefully pour boiling water over aluminum foil and baking soda to cover. 4. carefully place your sterling silver jewelry on top of the mix. 5. remove jewelry after 30 seconds and dry with soft towel. I try not to leave them in there for too long because I worry about the baking soda. But I hope this helps!
This is the best solution vs polishing because it's a chemical reaction that removes the tarnish by making it "jump" to the foil. Many polishes are abrasives that are grinding away the surface of the silver along with the tarnish. Allison, if you want to preserve your ring and make it durable you can have it plated in rhodium at a jeweller's.
A little tip for polishing silver for anyone who is interested to try: it's good to use ash. Just your simple ash from an ashtray, bbq or chimney. Put a bit on soft cloth or cotton pad and keep rubbing it in. I have seen someone recommending lemon juice on cloth first and then ash but I haven't tried that before.
I am so down for this channel to become a gossip outlet for these two’s lives
I've been wanting this for years
It’s childish and unhealthy… like the amount I would want to know about these two and their entourage
@MsSonnencreme absolutely. My one true parasocial relationship. Convinced I could become besties with both instantly.

Anatomy of a Fall (2023)
i love that gabe acts like he isn't such a romantic. you are not fooling anyone sir
You can totally buy specific silver polish at like a hardware store or grocery store and you just rub the polish on silver and the tarnish disappears.
Seconding this. And if you're having a hard time polishing the areas that have been soldered, you can try using a silver polishing cloth or as a last resort, you can ask a local jeweler to help clean it.

literally what I thought and I was like NO
Alison talking about the nail salon is how I feel about the grocery store 😂😂😂

My jaw dropped when I read the title 😳
Literally shocking. I clicked so fast

🤣🤣🤣 omg what 😂
it is common for Korean spas to have a milk rinse
Gotta admit I didn't hear Gabe's voice in months and I was so surprised 😂 also CONGRATS MAN on the new voice, I'm sure it's gonna turn out so great!

the "massage" horror story is why Im terrified to get a massage of any sort cause that's some shit that would happen to me and I would die on the spot
Just wanted to compliment the audio! Volume was perfect
Yessss they finally did it!! 😄😄
I desperately want someone in the comments to be able to explain Allison's weird massage.
Same!

@@karlavaldivia2058i think they meant the massage she got on her honeymoon not the regular Korean spa which isn't that weird
I'm gonna come back here in some time to see if anyone can explain the massage lmao
Seeing your ex on your honeymoon is definitely something that would happen to Allison. So on brand 🥲
actually crying at the water massage story
sameee
Me too, it was told so well I felt the fear and confusion but had enough distance to find it hilarious!
Don’t put vinegar on the ring. You can get silver cleaner at a jewellery shop

thank god it wasn't THAT ex
Exactly 😂😂

Me laughing through the massage story and then the end card, because "acqua" just means... "water".
the spa story is too funny
So funny!
"isn't that beautiful?" "uhh yes.." 😭😭😭
I’m laughing so hard at the unpredictable freezing water 😂
I think you can use toothpaste on silver? But also they definitely make silver polishing cloths which I’m sure is much easier to use

This video is a visual ode to great hair. Perfection
I love this channel so much
Ashamed of how fast I clicked on this title
I have not watched this channel in ages but I just wanted to say both of you are looking so good! 🔥🔥
lol the way gabe says "oOoOo cute" about the handsome man cracked me up hahahah 11:52
I think Allison was in some kind if interactive haunted house with that “massage.”

Omg that spa story is great!!! So funny
It’s super easy to polish pure sterling silver. I get jewelry polishing cloths online and have had great luck
i dont follow this channel anymore but did for many years. im glad to see you 2 thriving. lots of changes. Lots of life left to keep living.
Allison buy Wright’s Silver Cream Polish!! It’s great and fixes my tarnished silver rings 🥰
*gasp* _maybe it's because I'm a storyteller_
You paid almost 7 dollars for an extra small yoghurt???
la is annoying lol
Any jewerly cleaner will remove silver tarnish, I like bar keepers friend

She didn't get married I think, her friends did. And I'm pretty sure Allison is the kind of person to sign a prenup anyway lol.
She got married in California! Only honeymoon was in Italy.
Use an eraser (like the pink square ones) and rub it off and then a tarnishing cloth will make it sign like brand new.

I love you both!!!! 🖤🖤🖤
I love Gabe's shirt! Also, you guys sit separately now
Alison's talking about a Vichy shower.
omg bless u for finally answering this!
Vinegar or lemon juice works for sylver. Soak a few minutes and then rub with a cloth until shiny
thats Sugars baby?????? OH MY GOD THATS ADORABLEEEE ok im calm now love this
There is some polish stuff you can buy or you can also get a cloth to rub it off! No worries Allison :)
guess im just subbed for the memories at this point
Toothpaste cleans silver tarnish really well

amazing storytelling!!!
Hi, lifelong listener first time caller: fuck.
Clean the ring with toothpaste! Works like a charm!
That's a nice story. Everybody gets along and no hard feelings despite the breakup. Is the ex in this story the one that wanted to split the cost of the engagement ring? Or was this some other ex?
This is a different ex
Allisson, you are goals!
Guys aqua means water in Italian lmao
No but the way I thought it was the ex that ghosted her and I freaked out
Try a regular brand of toothpaste to clean your ring! Works for me :D
The title feels very Sex in the City to me
Take some aluminum foil. Place it on the bottom of a bowl. A spoonful of baking soda on top. Hot water. Throw the ring in a few seconds and take out and clean with dry cloth. Use chopsticks or tongs to take it out cuz the water is hot.
phew, I was worried this was about the ex fiancé 🤮
yelling already and it's been 10 seconds
By the way, aqua means water in Italian, similar to how aqua means water in Spanish.
Where do Allison and Gabe live? Los Angeles?
I believe so
If you want to take tarnish off of silver jewelry you can use toothpaste.
He's the father of her child and the father of her husband?
I really would like to know if you both can live from this show now?
i dont think the ex care..haha..
This is the first I hear of Allison and weed!? How do you think it’s helped or affected you?
I’m sorry WHAT HAPPENED
Close up pics of Allison’s nails pls
which ex?
Not her ex fiance don't worry 😂
I love the tarnish that silver gets
Go to Mexico to get your nails done it’s half the price and even better work
This has to be Dan right?
you can buy jewelry cleaner!
Lol
Aqua just means water 😂
❤❤❤
So like, you won lol
Did Allison lose weight since the return??? Not that it matters but she looks noticeably smaller 🤯
I got these instructions when I bought silver earrings:
1. place small piece of aluminum foil in small bowl.
2. add small spoonful of baking soda.
3. carefully pour boiling water over aluminum foil and baking soda to cover.
4. carefully place your sterling silver jewelry on top of the mix.
5. remove jewelry after 30 seconds and dry with soft towel.
I try not to leave them in there for too long because I worry about the baking soda. But I hope this helps!
This is the best solution vs polishing because it's a chemical reaction that removes the tarnish by making it "jump" to the foil.
