Ive been using the build prior to this (main life version) and love it, 1 thing i changed was change 1 jewel to a 2% mana on kill, helped ALOT with keeping mana up and saving gear for other stats :)
I have maybe some tipps. If you can manage it somehow, you could use "Mind over Matter" in the skilltree to absorb some additional DMG from Mana. For the Belt you can use "Midnight Braid ..." to get Dmg recouped as Mana. I have a corrupted one with 60%. When you are near to the Mind over Matter you can also get "Adverse Growth" to recoup additional 20%. On your amulet you can easily get another 20% or you can just use some jewels to get 100%. If you dont get multiple hits in a short time or oneshotted, this will make you always get all dmg received autohealed because your life pool is your manapool anyway. Also if you only run the two heralds and grim feast you dont even need additinal spirit at all. It is great because you wont need the passivskill "lead me through the grace" from your ascendancy. If you are bossing there are two ways to increase your dmg against bosses alot. 1. You can equip more than one bell. Depending on how much skilslots you have, you can just equip 2-3 Bells and when you get your combo, every bell is charged up. This way bosses are a piece of cake. On the one hand you deal much more dmg, and on the other hand you can put a lot of util gems inside your bells. You can daze, stun, electrocute, freeze more with the bells, so your boss will be unable to move the whole fight. You can also put a limit +1 gem on one bell, to have even more bells on the field. 2. You can activate the bells by using the spell "Eye of winter". This will instantly evaporate the Bells doing massivly dmg and applying all the util from the bells instantly. It is also a good "cheap" choice, because you wont need the expensive Hand unique. It can be run even as a low budget build. 3. to get more attack speed if you cant afford the hand, you can also use "Falcon Technique" passive skill on the amulet but I dont know how expensive or rare the destilled ressource are. Maybe it isnt cheap but it can be a better option against bosses. So for mapping you might want to enhance your herald, and while bossing you might wanna use this passive. There are alot of good choices, Idk which is best but at least it is fun.
Nice tips! But I'm confused with how recoup works. I tried google it, says you still take the same damage, only it gives you regenerative effect on either hp or mana by the amount of damage taken.
Have to give praise where it is deserved. Was trying to get rid of that ring since the first time I equiped it. Was able to solve mana issues, add more rarity (200IR) and smashing t15 breaches like cookies now on a budget build of around 3 divines so far. Swap to CI might get expensive tho to keep the rarity at same numbers.EDIT: Managed to squeeze in the CI with bare minimum of 3k ES, but gained blink back with the ES on chest. Love the build, have not had so much fun in PoE in years, thank you!
Quick question: there's too many skills on the Mobalytics guide. What is inactive for Mapping, is it Charged Staff and Combat Frenzy in favour of Blink and Grim Feast?
I might have missed it in the video. But how are we getting enough skill slots for these abilities? I'm 1 short, but can't see anywhere on the guide where it says to run an unset ring for +1 skill slot, I am using the CI variant.
Is there an update to this guide after Killer Instinct got nerfed (fixed), and shock chance was dropped from Electrocute? My dps dropped down by about 4k which is about 15-20% of my overall damage! Just wondering if there's a way to get that damage back or are we monks just going to take the hit.
What is the best strat for beating Breach and Citadel bosses? Simply swapping gems helps but I feel like I still need more boss damage. Clearing is simply amazing. Do we swap Grim Feast with Cast On Shock if we are attempting the bosses?

Hello Ronarray. Im having 1 problem and that is mana vs stronger bosses. The cast of shock and tempest flurry eat through my mana fast and i run out of flask too fast. do you have an idea how to fix this?
Is the increased elemental damage with attacks on your staff a big increase in damage? i have a feeling it is but im not sure how it changes the damage calc.
It is dependant but I found that a staff with ele damage increase and high crit chance+ high crit multi is better damage than having high physical dps. I socket crit multi cores too. The reason for this is dependent on how you build you actually don't have alot of %increased ele damage. You get a ton of crit multi. A bunch of flat elemental damage from the howa gloves and I also stacked cold and lightning damage to attacks on break rings. So anyways I had a bunch of flat ele damage but not that much % increased. Maybe like 100% from tree. So getting 60+ on weapon was actually a very big tool tip dps increase for me. The ideal staff i think would be percent physical flat physical ele damage to attacks. Over 4% crit chance over 30 crit multi then something like mana on kill. Two crit soul cores.
check travic, basically Crit damge > wed > high phys, probably the best combo is like wed , phys %, lighting flat or phys flat. and well double crit + attack speed with crit dmg runes or wed runes depending if you going full crit or no
@@mozty_most i tried a 620 dps phys staff with just crit chance (around 14%) vs my 16.2% gothic with 360 dps and 60% crit damage (no wed either) and was way higher dps on the crit one, not even counting that you ignore resistances on crit. i think this has a lot to do with howa too, its just adding a lot of flat so having 150-200 extra damage on the weapon vs multiplying it its not even close. with my staff im over 90% crit chance with charge infusion, and using charges my crit multi goes to over 700% and i dont have crit damage on jewels nor amulet. specifically for stormwave levels are nice so i cant really say for sure if AS vs levels is better there, but in general terms you want AS since again, its local so it multiplies by howa and tree with falcon technique and you are already one shotting everything, even the charged staff criting is one shotting most of rares at this point. been playing gemling last week tho before they nerf it hard. for mapping just holding flurry and flying across the map feels like a Cyclone from poe1 on steroids since your aoe covers even outside of screen

How do you have 100k dps on Storm Wave with ~400dps weapon? I dont understand - I have much less, exact same tree / similar jewls etc, following everything in your guide
DPS is not THAT important if you have all other perfect stats on a weapon. Crit Chance + Crit Damage + Melee Skills + Elemental is HUGE. Jewels and higher level plays a lot of role too - lvl 20 gems as well.
is dropping charged staff worth it? saves you 2 passive points on your tree you are showing here since you no longer care about charges, but is it worth the drop in boss dps from losing the shotgunning against the bell?
Are we dropping charged staff or flurry? On mobalytics you dont have flurry but in the video you have. I wanna know which supports we need after dropping martial tempo.
Im playing howa pillar on a gemling, but the build im following uses 3 dragons for freeze and harold of ice clear. Ive been looking for a way to drop the helmet so i can shock and still have good clear. I'll have to test this out and see if it works on a gemling as well.
Is the Main version with the Ring better for clearing or that 2x Herald better ? I have just got the ring and was trying to adjust resist and gear but maybe Herald is better option. Also, the written version doesn’t seem to match the video ?
I have a problem. I saw this buildi on ressurect2 player. Then I started to make the same buildi. I use “Polcirkeln Sapphire Ring” as a ring. Gloves “Hand of Wisdom and Action” Belt “Headhunter Heavy Belt”. But I can't resist any damage. I keep dying. I think I'm doing something wrong. But I can't understand.

I have a question. I am having trouble generating any charge just using lightning wave and tempest flurry. I am not using the 4th support gem for tempest and 5th for wave. Could that be the issue?
I replaced the unique ring and currently using 2 rare rings with high flat and increased lightning damage. This along with herald of thunder and ice together basically makes your storm wave's damage sky rocket leading to more consistent one shot nukes compared to using only polcerklin and herald of ice
I love the video, one question tho. I just reached level 79 and my gear is allright but not the greatest. I find that on T15 maps i dont freeze the mobs instantly sometimes and it takes a couple hits to get the interaction going. Is this because my cold damage is too low? On Storm Wave i have 568-946 cold damage and on herald of thunder 1139-1948 cold damage. I assumed this would work because it is above 350. Maybe it's because im not crit capped? Currently 35%crit on Storm Wave which gets doubled to 70% on full life monsters. Do you have any idea what i can do to get this to proc more consistently?
How many passives skills (which one) do you use and how many spirit do you need to use them all? Except the 2 heralds,blink ,grim and frenzy do you still use wind dancer?
how are you getting that much int and dex, I dont understand im lvl 87 and have combined 310 attribute points. To use blink I need like 142 int, but for a weapon that doesnt even come close to yours I need 165 dex. Can someon pls explain.
@@berndvanbergen4821 it should be around 250 from passives, each armour could gives around 20-30 int (x4) weapon, rings and amulet could give both dex and int in single piece, just look for it from trade site it few ex or div it means you lack attributes from gears -- I have cap res with 0 attribute in my left ring, it still enough
Is running full enegy shield items better than evasion/energy shield with CI node? You can always take the note to convert Evasion to more energy shield as well.
The only evasion I run is a chest with es/evasion 1000 evasion or so and then the node on the tree that gives 100% extra evasion from body armor plus the evasion aura gives me 80% evasion. Or 70% evasion if I take 40% decreased for 70% armor too. I lose out on like 200 base es but get alot of evasion. Boots helm are both pure es My biggest problem has been es recharge rate and start tbh. It was so slow for both with no investment on tree.i would basically only die of something stopped me from recharging for too long. So I took the node that gets rid of recharge and heals es with potion and ghost shroud + grim feast ofc. Haven't tested it long enough now but i think I solved the problem of recharge being crap by just getting rid of it lol. I think ultimately if you had alot of recharge rate and a faster recharge start it be better but its too much point investment and jewel space imo
I used this build and is super fun, strong and safe, but to be rly effective it requires lot of divine. For ppl on budget i suggest to follow the ice monk guide made by rexx. With less then 5 div in total is much more effortable and it can carry u inti the real end game.
CI = Chaos innoculation: It makes your life 1 but you are immune to chaos damage (so you don't need chaos res and chaos damage don't damage you, the down side besides 1 life is that your stun threshold becomes like 0, so thats why you need %energy shield as stun treshold on jewels/passive tree) And you freeze targets with herald of thunder, it's well explained on the video, you get herald of thunder to freeze and herald of ice to shock, this way they proc of eachother and you get big boom explosions
@@quantumkoksi5391 Yes, ES on gear is really important (chestpiece + helmet will give you the most if you are not using morior), as well as % on the amulet and you can get more % on jewels too, i gave up some damage nodes for more % on the tree aswell. If your gear is not godlike and you are really low on ES, i would consider droping CI and going chaos res+little life until you get more good gear, this version of the build is kinda pricey, you can do it on a budget but is hard to get tanky and still do lots of damage.
Can you do the math if we switched out the amulet for the astra stellar one which the roll to increase lightning damage I want to see if it’s worth getting it

@ronarray why we are walking no winddancer anymore? Currently for me It is difficult to finish the bosses for the third trial in case of honor is it better to walk without CI ? Or what would you change for nuking bosses ? My level is 85 and got around 6 k base ES The damage of my storm wave said it is base around 23 k not 101 k as in your example. Do you know why ? Is it bc of level 18 skill ?
How is your energy shield so high? Is there a skill I'm missing or something? I've got a ton of +ES gear, and the same skill tree as you I think, but I'm only at like 2200 ES..

Running one of similar versions I still have insane mana problems, basically cant kill some of the later bosses (Floor 4 for ascen) because i just run out of mana flasks lol, i got the two nodes for reduced consumption even the support gem running, probably need mana regen on some accessory

Quick question: I capped my resist and got reasonable amount of rarity from non-ring equipments, so I can use breach rings with no or low amount of resists. I currently use a Breach ring with high amount of Dex/Int and Mana with Attribute quality, for the HoWA, but now looking you don't really value Dex and Int as much as I do lol. Was planning to get a similiar Breach Ring since we are dropping Polcirkeln. Should I get more stats or just get flat phys/cold/light with Attack quality? Which one would yield more damage? Also Ingeunity might be good I guess with 2 rare rings? Also thanks for the guides, they are pretty good and in-depth.
I feel going for a mix of Eva/ ES is just bad, I have 83% evasion, and only 1000 ES 1400 health, I die to absolutely anything to be honest. IDK what should I do.
one of the skills is Unbound Avatar which you unlock on the ascendancy tree. Once you put a point on the node called ... and I Shall Rage the skill is equipped automatically
You have so much Spirit left, you should use Herald of Ash to improve your Damage through "Coming Calamity". You could further increase your survivability through "Vitality" and "Life Thief" Support Gems if you have enough Spirit left. Thank`s for your Guides!
I don't really need Ash in the setup. Coming Calamity is too far and not worth it compared to Jewel chase too. Vitality will not regenerate my ES as well unfortunately - since we are CI. Thank you for watching man!

I still don't understand how can you get 100k damage on Storm wave. THe only thing I'm missing is the Unique hand. Other items are just like you recommended and maybe slightly better in the damage bonus effects. Please help.
Hand of wisdom and action will easily boost your dps by at least 7k so that’s a start. Also having 5 slots on storm wave and a good staff will take you over the top in terms of dps.
You will be surprised what numbers you hit after the 35% extra electric/cold buffs go off from killing shocked/frozen enemies. My sheet dps is 61k with Ice strike but after buffing with charged staff and those two supports go off I'm sitting at 110k

@@Akiusz yep did that too and worked well except for survivability (i was too sguishy cause of bad stuff) so I switch to full ES / CI

How do you have 100k dps on Storm Wave with ~400dps weapon? I dont understand - I have much less, exact same tree / similar jewls etc, following everything in your guide
DPS is not THAT important if you have all other perfect stats on a weapon. Crit Chance + Crit Damage + Melee Skills + Elemental is HUGE. Jewels and higher level plays a lot of role too - lvl 20 gems as well.

is dropping charged staff worth it? saves you 2 passive points on your tree you are showing here since you no longer care about charges, but is it worth the drop in boss dps from losing the shotgunning against the bell?
Charged staff is for bossing only - for mapping I would drop it.
Are we dropping charged staff or flurry? On mobalytics you dont have flurry but in the video you have. I wanna know which supports we need after dropping martial tempo.

I mostly drop bossing setup - it is not really needed. So no CoS / Frenzy
Im playing howa pillar on a gemling, but the build im following uses 3 dragons for freeze and harold of ice clear. Ive been looking for a way to drop the helmet so i can shock and still have good clear. I'll have to test this out and see if it works on a gemling as well.
Is the Main version with the Ring better for clearing or that 2x Herald better ? I have just got the ring and was trying to adjust resist and gear but maybe Herald is better option. Also, the written version doesn’t seem to match the video ?
Double Herald has been working much better for me, same effect, more main skill damage, and extra bonuses from the rare ring
I have a problem. I saw this buildi on ressurect2 player. Then I started to make the same buildi. I use “Polcirkeln Sapphire Ring” as a ring. Gloves “Hand of Wisdom and Action” Belt “Headhunter Heavy Belt”. But I can't resist any damage. I keep dying. I think I'm doing something wrong. But I can't understand.
Are we able to swap Tempest Flurry with Ice Strike in your main Life build ? Or is Tempest Flurry an absolute must need for bossing ?

Ghost Dance helps survivability quite a bit. possibly cast on shock as well if you have enough

I have a question. I am having trouble generating any charge just using lightning wave and tempest flurry. I am not using the 4th support gem for tempest and 5th for wave. Could that be the issue?

I replaced the unique ring and currently using 2 rare rings with high flat and increased lightning damage. This along with herald of thunder and ice together basically makes your storm wave's damage sky rocket leading to more consistent one shot nukes compared to using only polcerklin and herald of ice
I love the video, one question tho. I just reached level 79 and my gear is allright but not the greatest. I find that on T15 maps i dont freeze the mobs instantly sometimes and it takes a couple hits to get the interaction going. Is this because my cold damage is too low? On Storm Wave i have 568-946 cold damage and on herald of thunder 1139-1948 cold damage. I assumed this would work because it is above 350. Maybe it's because im not crit capped? Currently 35%crit on Storm Wave which gets doubled to 70% on full life monsters. Do you have any idea what i can do to get this to proc more consistently?
How many passives skills (which one) do you use and how many spirit do you need to use them all? Except the 2 heralds,blink ,grim and frenzy do you still use wind dancer?
In your video you dont have Resonance skilled in your tree, but in the written guide it is. Why are there differences?

i was playing with the life version, no rarity. You think is better change to this or just keep going with the life one.
It's better to transition to the ES / Rarity version for much better loot and more tankiness, but only once you have the proper gear.
how are you getting that much int and dex, I dont understand im lvl 87 and have combined 310 attribute points. To use blink I need like 142 int, but for a weapon that doesnt even come close to yours I need 165 dex. Can someon pls explain.
attributes come from passives and gears, upgrade them
@@zakra2607 yea im using all the same passives as this video, but energy shield item dont drop with +DEX.

weapon, rings and amulet could give both dex and int in single piece, just look for it from trade site it few ex or div
it means you lack attributes from gears

Why is slicing quarter staff the base one to go for?
Is running full enegy shield items better than evasion/energy shield with CI node? You can always take the note to convert Evasion to more energy shield as well.
The only evasion I run is a chest with es/evasion 1000 evasion or so and then the node on the tree that gives 100% extra evasion from body armor plus the evasion aura gives me 80% evasion. Or 70% evasion if I take 40% decreased for 70% armor too. I lose out on like 200 base es but get alot of evasion. Boots helm are both pure es
My biggest problem has been es recharge rate and start tbh. It was so slow for both with no investment on tree.i would basically only die of something stopped me from recharging for too long. So I took the node that gets rid of recharge and heals es with potion and ghost shroud + grim feast ofc. Haven't tested it long enough now but i think I solved the problem of recharge being crap by just getting rid of it lol. I think ultimately if you had alot of recharge rate and a faster recharge start it be better but its too much point investment and jewel space imo

I used this build and is super fun, strong and safe, but to be rly effective it requires lot of divine. For ppl on budget i suggest to follow the ice monk guide made by rexx. With less then 5 div in total is much more effortable and it can carry u inti the real end game.

CI = Chaos innoculation: It makes your life 1 but you are immune to chaos damage (so you don't need chaos res and chaos damage don't damage you, the down side besides 1 life is that your stun threshold becomes like 0, so thats why you need %energy shield as stun treshold on jewels/passive tree)
And you freeze targets with herald of thunder, it's well explained on the video, you get herald of thunder to freeze and herald of ice to shock, this way they proc of eachother and you get big boom explosions

@@quantumkoksi5391 Yes, ES on gear is really important (chestpiece + helmet will give you the most if you are not using morior), as well as % on the amulet and you can get more % on jewels too, i gave up some damage nodes for more % on the tree aswell. If your gear is not godlike and you are really low on ES, i would consider droping CI and going chaos res+little life until you get more good gear, this version of the build is kinda pricey, you can do it on a budget but is hard to get tanky and still do lots of damage.
Can you do the math if we switched out the amulet for the astra stellar one which the roll to increase lightning damage I want to see if it’s worth getting it

The damage of my storm wave said it is base around 23 k not 101 k as in your example.

You don't have bis stats, jewels and end game runes. No way you can match It now. Switch something cheapest and farm lot of divine.

Why don’t you use ingenuity belt with attribute rings instead and boost your dps immensely so you don’t have to use skill gems to make up for dps?
How is your energy shield so high? Is there a skill I'm missing or something? I've got a ton of +ES gear, and the same skill tree as you I think, but I'm only at like 2200 ES..
Body armour provides A LOT, also 370+ helmet.
Which 5th link do you recommend for Flurry since we are using Martial tempo on Storm Wave? also, what about the last one from Charged Staff since it was moved to herald? O.O

Only if you are playing full Life version AND have 50% evasion AFTER acrobatics. For CI it is less effective tbh.

Running one of similar versions I still have insane mana problems, basically cant kill some of the later bosses (Floor 4 for ascen) because i just run out of mana flasks lol, i got the two nodes for reduced consumption even the support gem running, probably need mana regen on some accessory
Did you fully give up on evasion? Why is that.
Dont need evasion in full ES setup tbh. We are already OK.
Hey put supercritical on stormwave, not sure if working as intended, but seems to make critical chance 100% as well as 100% increase critical damage. might want to try it out.

Quick question: I capped my resist and got reasonable amount of rarity from non-ring equipments, so I can use breach rings with no or low amount of resists. I currently use a Breach ring with high amount of Dex/Int and Mana with Attribute quality, for the HoWA, but now looking you don't really value Dex and Int as much as I do lol. Was planning to get a similiar Breach Ring since we are dropping Polcirkeln. Should I get more stats or just get flat phys/cold/light with Attack quality? Which one would yield more damage? Also Ingeunity might be good I guess with 2 rare rings? Also thanks for the guides, they are pretty good and in-depth.
Why are my skill slots not enough? I can equip everything except 'Cast on Shock' because there's no slot left to equip it.

I feel going for a mix of Eva/ ES is just bad, I have 83% evasion, and only 1000 ES 1400 health, I die to absolutely anything to be honest. IDK what should I do.

one of the skills is Unbound Avatar which you unlock on the ascendancy tree. Once you put a point on the node called ... and I Shall Rage the skill is equipped automatically

You have so much Spirit left, you should use Herald of Ash to improve your Damage through "Coming Calamity". You could further increase your survivability through "Vitality" and "Life Thief" Support Gems if you have enough Spirit left. Thank`s for your Guides!
I don't really need Ash in the setup. Coming Calamity is too far and not worth it compared to Jewel chase too. Vitality will not regenerate my ES as well unfortunately - since we are CI. Thank you for watching man!

I still don't understand how can you get 100k damage on Storm wave. THe only thing I'm missing is the Unique hand. Other items are just like you recommended and maybe slightly better in the damage bonus effects. Please help.
Hand of wisdom and action will easily boost your dps by at least 7k so that’s a start. Also having 5 slots on storm wave and a good staff will take you over the top in terms of dps.
I love this build I use it. Why aren’t we using breach rings with belt that give more stats to them as well.
I honestly need to test the belt setup a little more before recommending it, it seems great for damage tho but harder to balance and pretty expensive.
Where is all the sheet dps coming from? I have a similar staff and my dps is at 35k
I'm guessing it's his gloves, hands of wisdom and action, that are resulting in a lot of that number
You will be surprised what numbers you hit after the 35% extra electric/cold buffs go off from killing shocked/frozen enemies. My sheet dps is 61k with Ice strike but after buffing with charged staff and those two supports go off I'm sitting at 110k
