I listened to the album front to back the day it came out. And went to see them on tour when they were promoting it. Nothing really stood out. Bullshit had some energy and I’ll have to listen to violence again. But it was a let down. I mostly listen to the first 4-5 albums.

They raise awareness for domestic abuse, teen suicide, mental illnesses, depression, and bullying, and well as disaster relief. “Make it Stop - September’s Children” by Rise Against got me through some tough ones back in high school tbh.
This is my favorite band and I’m seeing them for the second time in about two weeks. They put on a hell of a live show and they’re actually genuinely nice and down to earth. I got to meet them the last time I saw them. All of their music is amazing. You should check out their recent album Wolves.

Capra Behind Closed Doors is good but I would suggest others before that when it comes to Rise Against. Parkway Drive if we were going with the new album I would say Wishing Wells, In Blood, or I Hope You Rot... Black Masks and Gasoline, survive, a life less frightening, paper wings...these guys have been around a long time. Although they are not from Colorado they do every record in Ft. Collins. Ive loved them for almost 20 years. Binge on them brother I promise you will be stuck. All hail punk rock!

This is actually their standard sound over the years. But their true strength is their poetic lyrical content, and how much emotion it forces out. My favorite band for the past 5 and a half years.
