Saved me lots of money Steve. Was able to replace the drive belt for a front load GE dryer following your instructions. Took me like 20 minutes. Thank you.
Your videos are so clear and concise! You just saved me $300 (at least) in repair service...and the work took less than an hour (once the parts arrived). Thank you!
Thank you for using this style of dryer in your video!!! Your video covered the steps I needed to disassemble my dryer and verify the drum was fine and the bearings were not bad!! Greatly appreciated!!
Your video on this model was outstanding and a big help. One of my dryer strings was out on this exact model and after watching your video I decided to go ahead and replace the bearing and belt. I also replaced the bearing slids and felt seal for the drum as well. You may want to mention these related parts since you have to disassemble the whole unit. I basically now have a refurbished unit. Thanks again, Roger
You're so welcome! Glad to hear you find the video encouraging and easy to follow! I have faith that you can pull this off. Please don't hesitate to reach out, if you run into questions along the way! Good luck!
Thank you for a great video, I used the video to see how to remove the drum and reinsert. I had to replace the gas valve solenoid. I bought a kit that included both solenoids for $18.53 at a wholesaler. I am elated.
With inflation being thru the roof, the last thing we needed was to buy a new clothes dryer. Thanks to this video we didn't have to. There are a lot of DIY vids on TH-cam. When it comes to household appliances, stick with these pros. A helpful hint. When you order the kits for the rear flange plate that attaches to the heating element. Don't discard the old screws until you make sure your new kit comes with the replacement screws. If it doesn't, use the old ones. When you need catch like these, there are a ton of them on Amazon etc. Many of them are useless. Cheap copies that don't fit or work well. When you need these types of parts, order from these guys. They have genuine & OEM rated kits and they're happy to help you on the phone or via email.
Drum Bearing Sleeve for GE Dryer Model NBXR453EV1WW is no longer available, you have to buy the whole kit WE25M40 for $45, plus more work. I did not want to spend that much, nor work extra. I was told GE part WE1M462 would work. 3 months so far so good, used a little silicon (high temp) grease also.
+B Smith You may have asnwered my question; I ignored most of the kit and simply replaced the bearing & O-ring. I didn't use any lube though, but I did see that suggested on another video. May your repair last as long as the rivers flow!
I have to replace a drum belt for a black dryer that looks like this. The problem is the papper work isn't in it. & There is no model number on the dryer itself from what i can see only a few part numbers for specific parts. How do i find the part number for the belt?
Question Sir: I have a GE Dryer. Model DVL223EB4WW. I cannot get the drum to come out. I've preformed all the necessary steps, but the drum will not release to come out I need to replace the rear bearing. Any help is appreciated. Thank you, Jay
Not the easiest video to follow but if you have some mechanical ability you can do it. You can also watch another video and between the two videos you should be able to fix your dryer.
