- An improvement of 55 seconds in-game time and 53 seconds real time over my last best run from over 4 years ago.
Practice for AGDQ 2024 is going well, got this run under 10 minutes. I improved on almost every fight, only losing a handful of seconds on Wolf. Only 2 of the 6 AI opponents were able to fill up their magic meter, and still potential for even more time save on Pete. Could possibly push this down below 9 minutes. Enjoy!

I will say though that while it is ideal to make large chains and/or lots of tetris/pentris, unfortunately, it is not risk-free, and what happened starting at 8:14 perfectly explains why! After you made a 5x chain that included a tetris, Pete recieved multiple white 5x5 blocks, allowing him to possibly make multiple pentris! Fortunately, because his board was uneven, he didn't make pentris, but he did however made multiple tetris, which almost gave him the victory! Your opponents receiving multiple 5x5 blocks while they have boards even enough to make pentris is always worst case scenario when you attack them strongly!
@@dockside2012 Yes, that's one of the rare cases where countering magic pieces can backfire in a big way. Unfortunately getting a bunch of 4x4 blocks is also really bad since you can't clear lines by stacking them side by side to each other, so you pretty much have to try to counter them to avoid being forced to top out.
