as a rubiks puzzles collector myself, i'm very happy that Tommy recieved a mirror cube, it's really fun if you learn how to solve it, for me, solving it eyes closed it's an extra challenge, for you it would be the basic way to solve it and that's really interesting, i know this video is old, i hope you learned how to solve it or you do someday

i think he mentioned in a video somewhere that one of the worst things about being blind is how dangerous it is. he says he's always bumping into things, getting burned, etc. it sucks but it's normal for him lol
The mirror cube is something called a 3*3 shape modification :) meaning that the core is the same, but the cubies are different from a standard 3*3 cube. You can solve it exactly the same as a standard 3*3. There are dozens of 3*3 shape mods out there, this is probably the easiest and the most well known. Very thoughtful gift :)

I feel like TH-cam is a neat outlet for someone who is blind. You’d learn a lot about the mindset of others and about things you normally wouldn’t consider.
You should see about going on to the Good Mythical Morning show with Rhett and Link. They are hilarious and often do blind taste tests. It's a match made in heaven! Even if you don't go on their show, you should check them out Tommy!

I have that same puzzle. I just tried to solve it blindly and it took about 28 minutes. I think your sense of touch would be an advantage for you, but I already knew how to solve the puzzle, so that's a big advantage for me. Btw, this puzzle is solved exactly the same way as a regular rubik's cube, so if you manage to solve this, you could also solve a (braille) rubik's cube.

My dad used to play the accordion a lot when I was a kid. I think he hasn't touched it for about 15 years now. Seeing Tommy with one made me kinda sad because dad + accordion equaled excitement but not anymore.

I'm a studio art major at a university, and one of the main ideas that I've had, but never been able to do a project on. is a project where a blind person could go to a national monument, or a state park, or some type of state known beauty and feel with their fingers, or hear with sound, and add smell and such, to personally experience what it is like to be in front of or inside this particular wonder, but without sight. Every video that you post gets me thinking every time, about what kind of art I could make for blind people, if anyone was interested. I am very curious to know your opinion about art, and any tips you could offer for artists that are interested in making art not just for sighted people.
I so appreciate that the narrator understood and explained the thought behind that WB rubrics cube. It´s always nice to have a voice of reason. As specially in these videos.

There are Rubik's cubes that have tactile stickers, so that you can solve them in the dark.
