Just wanted to say a massive thank you for these comprehensive info videos. It really helped with both my anxiety and Poppy's anxiety when I brought her home from The Greyhound Trust. Its only been a few days but there are already improvements :)
Glad its helpful for you :-) congratulations on the new addition! time is the perfect remedy, she has so much to get used to as she learns to become a pet
Thanks for sharing. I have found my greys really are good at routine. When they are on a good routine...eating, potty breaks, walks (all weather), bedtime. They sleep better. Also, to be considerate of sleep-startel. And not disturbing them on your nighttime bathroom needs. Thank you for all of your videos. 😊
Thank you!! Yes, you really know greyhounds. I appreciate your thoughtfulness in describing greyhounds. My greyhound has to sleep near me at night. 😇from Jean
Well I am pleased to know there is a qualified cainine behaviourist who has such independent understanding of Retired Greyhounds. Some methods don't seem to be the best way forward with greyhounds.
Our Nina was restless at night for the first few months she came home. Now she sleeps like a log at the foot of the bed or in the lounge. She likes her teddy bears around her. She takes care of them never chews them. 💓
Be warry of sleep startel. If you need to get up in a hurry (because you have to go), it can disturb your grey, and they may REACT as you may need to empty your bladder. And can have a grumpy aggressive dog that is only reacting, not in a normal loving way.

Thank you Jean, some of them do gain a lot of reassurance from sleeping nearby 😊
Thank You. You certainly understand greyhounds.
Thank you, I've had a chance to see all sides of them over the years!

@@kimmartin3669 they can be a law unto themselves! People often comment they're not like other dogs

Bless, she sounds very sweet 😊
I hope my greyhounds will sleep on my bed with me. I would also have extra beds just for them nearby in case they want their own space.
They often seem to fine it the perfect place for a snooze 😊
