@@classic_jam yes the original light saber was based upon a Graflex flash handle with a few bits added like the rubber grips, D ring but not much more than that.
Not gonna lie, that part where she took off the necklace to put the crystal in the lightsaber seemed like a really emotional moment straight out of a film, especially with the music. Great video!
I agree, it was her facial expression in that moment, like she was giving something away that was very sentimental and dear to her; in that moment, a million voices cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced.
Yeah it’s definitely more affordable than the replica sabers! Definitely give it a try! It’s hard piecing it all together but worth it in the end. We definitely plan on adding blades, that may be a video in the future 😉
I think hers is the best homemade, non-functional lightsaber I have ever seen. Love the weathered look and the crystal on the inside. I'm actually jealous!

Ben, I agree about not adding a parts list. Everybody in the movies has a unique one that's different from the others. We should make our very own one just with the same idea as yours.
Thanks! Sorry there is no specific parts list/formula for this build.. These were all just parts we found and put together. Half the fun is creating your own :)
Ok. So I watched your first lightsaber build and now i've watched this one. I don't know what you and Tresh do for a living, but you should both absolutely be building props for movies! these things look amazing!!
That part with the necklace was what I was really hoping they would have done with Jyn's necklace in Rogue One for the blind force sensitive guy to use
@@BenLaurence Oh and also I have to say that her lightsaber would have won the competition in your last video lol (even though she went over the $50 limit)
You might want to get a clear plastic jar (something like a peanut butter or soft drink one) and cut a cover for your crystal chamber that you can fit inside and use some super glue or something to have it inside and blocking the access so nothing gets banged around there if you plan on messing around with the saber as a toy...
