    Dan, I recently returned from a trip to Albuquerque and back. My daughter and grandson got tired of me rating the tarp tie down job of the rigs we passed. I guess I said, "Super Trucker Dan" would have done that differently." 🙂

    Hi Dan. Glad you got your steer tires with the bubble replaced - especially with that trip across Texas in 100+ temps. I saw all the “road-kill” tire pieces along the roadside. Truck sounds great. Thanks for the videos - Stay safe.

    Hey Dan
    I passed you going westbound between Abilene and Ranger Hill on Tuesday morning with a load of Priefert fence/stall panels. (Could have just taken them on to Benson and you could have built Theresa a huge pen for her pony)
    You were my inspiration for getting back into trucking, specifically flatbed. My first video with you was the ‘series’ you did when you were explaining how to calculate your actual cost per mile. It’s been a while!
    Keep doing what you do!

    When you pass the 281 S. exit on I 20 there’s a maverick truckstop on the other side on the right side of the highway they make a mean hamburger and onion rings. Also, when you pass the 281 cut off, you’re 30 minutes from where I live ha ha. Stephenville Texas

    Hey Dan good morning. I mostly run I-80 from PA to the northwest states. More and more, myself and others are seeing "drivers" with fuel nozzles in the tanks but the pumps not activated. I guess it's the newer way to get reserved parking while getting taco bell, shower, whatever. Be safe, stay sane and good luck running around the weather.

    Thanks for the tips on securing those ATVs. I am picking up a load there Tuesday going to Wisconsin with 3 drops total pretty close together.
    I usually don’t get down El Paso way, but I took a great paying load to Winslow Az and the only thing close to there is lumber to El Paso. Lumber pays ok, ATVs not the greatest but better than deadheading who knows how far.

    You obviously plan your fuel stops well in advance. Do you just know fuel is cheaper at X location...or do you have a 'tool' that helps you identify when to make fuel stops along your route, taking into account your Mercer discounts?

    Dan, I just started at mercer I'm on my second load, I bought a new ritenour big bubba with lift axle. I've got 2 questions, what is the max weight I can have on the back axle when running with the lift axle up, second did you put your right weigh scale on the rear axle or the front axle on the trailer? Thanks in advance dan. Be glad to see you at mercertown some day.

    • @SuperTruckerdan
      @SuperTruckerdan  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congratulations on signing on with Mercer. With your axle up you you can have 20000 lbs on your rear axle. For me that’s about 22000 of weight/freight on the trailer. I have my right weight scale connected to the front axle. You could connect it to the rear but when you calibrate it. It is set up for both axles down.
      Hope this helps
      Thanks for watching
