I couldn’t tell you how many times I was “that guy with a tape measure” out measuring the load to see if I can use my 4’ tarps or not. Lol. The look on some peoples faces while you’re measuring is priceless since they don’t understand what’s going on.
If there's one thing I've learned after 34 years it's that people always have a reason. May look weird on the outside but from there point of view it's the best option.
Hi Dan. Now i see why you really bought the orange truck - it matches your orange Dorsey t-shirts ;-) . That extra 44 inches would not be very convenient in the northeast where the roads were built for horse carriages! Truck looks and sounds great it up like a Christmas tree. I had a couple truckers tell me that in Connecticut, they got dinged because a couple of those hundred bulbs were out. May be BS but would not surprise me. Thanks Dan and stay safe.
Dan, you're a good dude brother, I am sure everybody here would agree. I have to admit that I smile inside when I see how much you like the NewUsed truck. Not sure how to say this, but in a world of so much bad, and bad people being so blessed, its good to see a hard working man have something they truly enjoy. Very cool.
Don't pay those negative comments about length and weight no attention. You run what works for you. But, know this. Still jealous of your truck. I'd take a load weight reduction EVERY time to have that truck.
My husband says that the new truck sounds much smoother than the white Petey, and that when you lifted that front tarp, he was lifting every ounce of it with you.
You know Dan, just enjoy the heck out of that truck. I could even see your other truck being a seasonal thing if Bigorange doesn't behave right in the winter. I'll bet the comfort of the quarters outweighs any downsides the length might have.
You ever thought about putting every 2 feet a orange paint mark 🤔 so after all hold down straps are tighten..look at the highest # numbered marks on straps to see what size tarp you need and to see bare min wide tarps you need to tarp load ...less work on moving heavy tarps.....just a thought for Super Dan &Bailey......
Thats a nice trailer but the ones with the tarp built into the trailer that slides back like a convertable top/accordion are sweet...I bet they are pretty expensive though you just unlock it and slide the whole tarp back. I tried tarping for a month..thoes things are NO JOKE especially when they are wet..and their damn heavy. I pull reefer these days..53' standard swing door.
Now I remember why I stopped flatbed years ago. The tarp madness and all I got was 10 bucks. The worst part was having to do a re fold and hoss it back up. One day I said to myself nope I'm gonna end up screwing up my back. Someplaces the forklift driver would put it up top or there was a ceiling crane at lumber places which made it a cakewalk. It must be fancy doing it in a large car though!
With that truck. Make some calls and look to get on Specialty hauling. As the show freight comes back that's we're you would want to be with it. Not looking for F/V freight. Use to be you could get one company's show freight booked. Picked up at the Show booth maker then go do their show freight tour. Vegas / San Diego / maybe then to Atlanta or Miami, then rinse and repeat. The food packaging equipment shows were the best. Especially when they would sell a piece at a show and you got that ticket with it.
Don´t know if I noticed what gear you use to tightened your straps? Elbow Grease?😃 And, while typing this, here we go!! Big stick, yepp. Elbow, ohýeah, to the bottom! Be careful with your back when balance ,lifting and turning. Yeee, strong man. Thanks for your knowledge. That Cat burner gives my speakers a good workout in my Volvo😂🤗👍
Hi Dan & Bailey, great to see you on the road again.I enjoy you're videos Nice touches you've done to the corvette. Awesome looking rig. Your sounding pretty chipper. Take care and stay safe👌
Dan, I'm so glad to see that you're doing so well as to be able to buy the truck you want. Beautiful rig, gives you more comfort. Less reliant on truck stop showers and fast food restaurants etc.
The only thing I didn't like about skateboards is tarping. Lot of work then I had to drive 10. Makes a man wore out fast. Dispatch don't care. Nice ride Dan.
More money 💰 more money 💰 more money 💰. 🤣 🤣 retirement seems farther and farther away just saying. I know your loaded. Truck and trailer Looks nice. Stay safe Dan God bless.
Hi Dan ,looking good, I got the grey hoodie off your store and I think you need to darken the colour of the 379 on it, you can barely see it, still happy to support you though
The new truck sure looks good hooked to the Dorsey trailer when you get a new tarp have it salmon coloured at both ends to match the truck color and a darker color in the middle .Bailey seems at ease in the new kennel..Happy trails Dan from Sydney Australia.
Love the truck, greetings from winfield, al. About 1.5 hours west of cullman. If you run i-22 from birmingham to memphis there is a new loves at exit 14 in alabama with a speedco shop. Thanks for the great videos. Safe travels.
Matching tarps would look great on your truck but other things are more important , they will come along in time like they always do . keep up the good work ..
That truck is a nice looking Corvette.
You look like a bedbug hauler the wY you was. Padding the front of your load good travels and be safe

One pretty lit up truck! The tarp just makes it even better!
You know Dan, just enjoy the heck out of that truck. I could even see your other truck being a seasonal thing if Bigorange doesn't behave right in the winter. I'll bet the comfort of the quarters outweighs any downsides the length might have.

You be careful out there, Dan. Your truck/tarp color scheme reminds me of a kindergarten school room. LoL Thanks for the videos. You rock!

love the sound, that engine is purring like a kitten. I think people guess the track looks big because of the size of the sleeper.
Nice PETE set-up you got there, good luck with it all...I never did flat-bed, but that tarping is a lot of work at times for sure .
Love the truck, greetings from winfield, al. About 1.5 hours west of cullman. If you run i-22 from birmingham to memphis there is a new loves at exit 14 in alabama with a speedco shop. Thanks for the great videos. Safe travels.

Looks good Dan! Love the early morning shot with all the lights on. All the best on your maiden run!
Looks great Dan! Proud for you and appreciate the videos. I’m guessing that was a Dorsey trailer “squeak” at the 3:18 mark. Lol.
Beautiful truck and trailer combo !
You should consider a Sliding tarp, unless you get a lot of those high paying over dimensional loads.
Love that new orange truck!! Wow!
Love the sound of that turbo whistling away !! SWEET 👍
That new truck looks great with the trailer hooked up. Enjoy all your new space in the sleeper
That truck is the new star of the show!!! stay safe bro...
