Gotta love Dave’s humor, “I got a PhD in DUMB.” Thanks for being one of the few who says it how it is. I am a huge fan. 😊

This is GOLD! I laugh listening to Dave explain things I learned slowly over time . It feels great knowing I now think more like Dave does. I wish I could have heard this 20 yrs ago.

@39:09 I agree with Dave. You have set the expectations upfront. We are very clear about payment terms and are highlighted in bold in our contracts. We also won’t do business with anyone that isn’t willing to set up auto draft or automatic payments. We make exceptions but that’s not the rule. We also have accumulated retained earnings of 6 months worth of expenses so we don’t directly count on payments to make payroll.

Transparency about payment terms is crucial for building trust and ensuring smooth working relationships. Having clear expectations upfront benefits everyone involved.

Selling feels like taking your introvert personality and making it extrovert.

I'd message a few tiktokers that make videos about hair and ask them to try them. If it's really as good as this woman says, they'll mention them with a passion. It's even better than paying them to say an add

My family and I have a restaurant supply business. We’ve been in business for 23 years come April 2024. My parents started this business which has been a blessing to our family financially, but when it comes to our relationship as a family there’s been a lot of hardships. Dave, you mentioned the five stages and that led me to write this comment. We’ve been stuck in treadmill stage, how do we get out of it and move to the next stage?

In response to the first caller. That guy is going to stay long enough to find a reason to sue you and your company. If he's smart he's probably getting together a case right now.

Sue them for what? Being weak?

@brucefredrickson9677 it's more because of revenge. But close.

I disagree with Dave here about that guy leaving… he’ll leave if he has no debt but you’ll be surprised what you’ll do when you need that paycheck… sorry but people compartmentalize and think well “it’s not personal, it’s business”when they don’t know how quickly they can pick up a new job.

Depends on maturity. Tons of people don't compartmentalize and take everything personally
