Hey @jessyradcliff5018, thank you for watching the video and sharing your thoughts on stoicism! It's amazing how this philosophy can have such a profound impact on our perspective and approach to life. 🙌
I completely agree with you that stoicism can be seen as a way of life, almost like a religion. It's a beautiful way of thinking that can bring so much peace and clarity to our minds. 🧘‍♂️
I'm curious, have you applied these strategies in your own life? If so, how have they helped you? And if not, what's holding you back? Let's keep the conversation going! 💬

I see stoicism as the antithesis to religion. Religion relies on unchanging dogma and shows little tolerance towards those who do not adhere to it. Stocism adapts to change and fosters understanding of our environment and those who inhabit it. But I get that you are probably using "religion" in the metaphorical sense as in using stoicism to permeate your entire life and actions much like religious indoctrination does.

Every stoic video makes me wish I had known about these principles earlier .. If they were at least taught at school. Why are we supposed to hit walls first before discovering such life changing words of wisdom ? I wonder . But truly discovering the stoics was really the BEST thing for me (of course after a mentally challenging experience that led to a whole lot of misconceptions). Nonetheless , we are grateful we can start again , and this time even more mentally strong 🦾
