Very common to feel like hell after, for me it wasn't aches but I was completely heat intolerant, having hot flashes, dizzy etc.- too bad the freaking doctors didn't tell me that! girl I know how you feel. I have had severe iron deficiency anaemia since I was 15, but didn't know until I was 17 where my ferritin levels went into negatives, and my hemoglobin was very low. Since then I've had iron infusions yearly (I'm 22 now), but more recently it's gotten worse. I found out that my body is actually physically unable to store iron, and as such supplements and/or eating red meat etc won't ever do anything for me because there's no way for my body to absorb it. My Dr recently said it isn't going to get better and the only thing I can do is get infusions once to twice a year for the rest of my life, because it depletes so quickly (my last infusion earlier this year barely lasted 7 months before it dropped again). I know the achy shaky feeling you're talking about that you get afterwards :(
