To be fair if Antonio's or any other suiter was kind to penelope and got her good will by guiding telemachus, after a while 20 years of ber husband and king being missing, she may have just alowed a suiter to become king, in a peaceful manner, even if she refused a romantic relationship. To be fair, ithica needed a king, telemachus needed a father figure to teach him things like fighting, and penelope needed a figure on the throne to protect herself.f from other suiters. It would have stabilised ithica at least untill odesius returned and a situation woukd have arose.
