    Dan is one of those drummers where he plays at the perfect level for the drums to translate nicely onto a recording, and also still sound enjoyable to listen to when you're sitting like 5 feet away from the kit. When I'm mixing the drums for these sessions, I'm pretty much just setting up the gain staging so it translates onto different speakers, and I rarely feel the desire to bring out an EQ. This room is one of my favorite rooms.

    Nice to get that detailed view into Dan´s gear. Great Drummer, i really suck up his reels on insta!

      There was a couple pieces of gear I wasn’t aware of myself, so it was fun to see all that is running into his chain.

    Hmm, that small Revox console looks great. I've used similar Studers and really like them. Must keep an eye out for those. Another one like that is the British small format broadcast console from Alice, like the 828, that recently the engineer started making again. Amek BC3s are quite cool too, I bought one, when I couldn't quite afford the Studer.
