Thanks for your video, it is so helpful! Not too many people talking about the base coat, but seems like this is most important step have to be done when you get into the water!
Interesting i’ve never seen base coat recommendations this thick before. Does it make a difference to make it so thick with the base wax, a full bar on a new board? I’m going to try this style, super thick base, we’ll see how it goes!
Essentially you just wanna make sure that you use enough of the base coat that the wax beads up on the board. That way the next layer of wax has something to stick to. It makes it easier to give your board a quick wax before each session as well.
Hey man I know I’m late but AMAZING VID BRO I saw the hate you got man trust me you were amazing just wanna say! You did 👍🏽 great!!! Much love from Cali man!
You would still want to use a different wax for the top coat. Usually the top wax is rated by the water temperature. So all you have to do is match the water temp with the wax you buy.
There's wax that is basecoat wax with a higher melting point but it's just isn't as sticky, sticky bumps has some I surf the gulf of Mexico and I use the whole basecoat bar and then 4-5 layers of tropical on top For reference I'm doing this with 9'1 and 9'6 boards
Do you mean how long you should wait to ride the board after you apply the base coat of wax? There isn't a waiting time you could ride it the same day.
Just did the circle beads, good call on that one! The grip is unbelievable! It did take a while, tho the entire process was very zen like. Thanks!

Great upload I loved it, keep them coming 🤙🏽
More to come!
The circular method makes the board look way better
Circular beads look Hella nice! I've been waxing with the cross hatch method, so maybe it's time to shed it down and try this out 🤔
You won’t regret it!

Glad it helped! Have fun out there

WHY CANT YOU POP UP !!!!
Do i need to do base coat if i surf warm water?
If i surf in tropical climate, do I still want to use a different wax for the top coat? Or should I use only tropical?

@@wdkillpack how long does it last? You wax everytime you go surf? Thanks. Beginner here
cool video.
How big should the circles be
Sorry for the delay to this message. I would say 3-4in diameter circles would be perfect.
I liked your technique better but I need a closer look how u did it (:
Sex Wax is the OG board wax. I won't wax my stick without it
Thanks
I eat wax
Yes you do!
