When my niece was like 6-7, she would straight up yank her baby teeth out. No flinching, wincing, or tearing. That girl still scares me. Hahaha

The Orajel medicated mouth rinse changes everything. When you just get your braces tightened and you need your mouth to just stop hurting, the orajel does wonders
Bentist, you’ve really changed my way of brushing. I used to barely do it but after seeing all the really really gross stuff that can happen it’s really inspired me to get back on it. Thank you very much ❤

Pain relieving mouthwash was my best friend when I first got clean from drugs. I had chewed up the inside of my mouth while detoxing, and my mouth hurt so badly I had a hard time eating.

I love this content, but I recall very clearly that wiggly milk teeth hurt when you wiggled them. When they fell out, there was definitely a brief pain sensation.
the pain is most likely from how the tooth pulls out from your gums. even when my milk teeth premolar was hanging on by a tiny corner, there wasnt any nerve left, but if i tugged it lightly my gums twinged
Yeah I always disagree with that, I remember a few of mine being quite painful and a couple of mine actually had some of my gum still attacked to the tooth. You could see visable fleash hanging on the edge.
Yeah, I remember the sharp pain there was, but it was so quick. Most of the time I would play with my tooth until it fell out on its own; I would twist it around and up and down, there wasn't anything I wouldn't do, I was so scared of yanking it. 😂
I remember the wiggly milk teeth being painful when my mom, or dad ripped it out of my face also 😆 felt better after, but it hurt like a mofo for like 3-5 seconds . Which seems way longer when you're little and hella dramatic 😅 was.... was anyone else a very dramatic little girl? Or boy?

When a temporary filling fell out in a tooth, the temporary filling stuff saved me from the pain of an exposed nerve!!!
Story: my dentist was "struggling" to get my root cleared out, said she was struggling and that I may have to go over to their other clinic for private treatment so she put a temporary filling in and called me in a week later to check if that would be the case. I complained to the my local ICB (I'm in the UK) that I suspected them of forcing people to have private treatment as I knew about others who had been robbed off by them and then magically she had no issues completing the root canal!
I hope she didn't purposefully ruin your teeth for ""ratting out"" their profitable extortion operation..

TMJ pain and fibro sufferer here and there are days where I 100% want to numb my entire mouth up.
1st I'm not 16, 2nd I love ice, and 3rd my teeth already suck and ice chewing brings me happiness. So, yes.
i had a cavity that was very close to the nerve. The dentist cleaned the tooth, but they did not touch the nerve. However, the tooth is now sensitive.

I remeber when I went to eat I had a loose tooth so when I took a bite on my food my tooth fell out and it hurted because I also kinda bit my own tooth
The last bit with the acid wear freaks me out I have crohns and I can already see the wear on my teeth :/

1:15 FUN FACT: when I was a child my teeth were so strong in my mouth even when they were wiggly it still felt very painful. I remember taking out 1 tooth only and it was unbearable. Every other time I had to go to the dentist to get them removed and each time it was traumatizing so much so that I avoided the dentist for years. Now I’m getting back into going to the dentist and I’ve had a much better experience as an adult than as a child 🥲

My orthodontist said I can’t get braces because I have bone loss in my front teeth. I fell down when I was young and because of that my front tooth’s nerve died. Is that true? Can I do something else?

Hi, I'm 15 years old, and Thursday (the 4th of July) I went to the dentist for the first time in my entire life. When we got there, the dentist took some x-rays (or whatever you call it) of my teeth, and then he told me and my mom, after explaining to me what dentists do, he told me that there was no limestone built on my teeth, there was no holes in my teeth, and he said that my teeth were perfect, only that there was just one small underdeveloped upper-left wisdom tooth, but that there would be no problem in the future with that tooth, it might not even come out at all. He also said that very very very rarely he sees any teens that have teeth of my condition, especially at my age. I was like "What?! And it was my first time ever at the dentist!!" so I was very proud of myself, my mother was very proud of me.
Edit: Two of my teeth are slightly crooked, but I am going to get an invisi-liner. My upper left big tooth is just slightly crooked, and there is a space between my two big teeth, which I want GONE. My lower second left front tooth is also crooked and bent forwards, if you can picture what I mean.
If I need to chew ice, I go for the Sonic or chick fil a ice.
Listen!!! If we could take them off and put them on easier- we could brush under there SOOOOO GOOOOOD 😭. I always bring my toothbrush when they wire change me so I can brush and floss like a maniac 😂

See my retainer popped off and no one would glue it back on for me because "they didn't put it on originally" 😢 so I ripped mine out also.
when getting my braces off they said that they would give me a permanent retainer and i was absolutely not having it and so i called and asked if they could change the order so now i have a regular wire retainer
i kind of hate it bc it makes it hard to talk (i’m already bad at it as it is) and it’s uncomfortable but i’m just glad i didn’t get a bonded retainer
The Orajel mouth rinse is awesome for mouth sores. Diluted hydrogen peroxide rinse. It doesn’t numb your mouth.
I drink so much sparkling water. I guess i need to brush extra.

Instead of ice crunching because my teeth are too sensitive, I chipped my tooth by eating a chocolate chip
@thebentist I've used the mouth rinses and it doesn't numb ur whole mouth like the gel and works 10× better. But what also works on infected tooth with abscess is hot water salt and peroxide swish and it has proven 2 work by everyone who tries it.. and the video ppl crushed up pain reliever is to put it over the hole in a tooth that is hurting to block the nerve from getting triggered. I hold this helps solve some questions.

i have had my "permanent" retainer for almost 10 years which feels shocking to me
I remember that when my first tooth fell, I decided to put it for some weird collection, meanwhile my parents decided to throw it away💀💀💀 plus, the experience was that, my cousin took some strings and wrap it around my teeth and throw it gently, although it didn’t hurt, I was still crying, other times my whole family takes out my teeth cause I don’t want to💀💀💀

Why are people chewing on ice if you can just grab a paper towel and put it on the ice so your hand doesn’t get cold and lick it. It works the same way to be honest.

Hey bentist, thanks for your tips and advice of teeth removing because my little sister really needed it, she was so scared to remove her baby tooth with my brothers nerf gun, until I just got a tissue and yanked it out, she was like “ did you remove it yet” and I said yea, then she said “ I didn’t feel it”, and now she’s never scared.
When I was losing my baby teeth the second I noticed one was wiggly I'd just sit there all day and play with it until it got to the point where I could rip it out 😂

You would have been thinking something was wrong with me as a kid. I actually wasn't afraid to pull my teeth out. Even at school, they started calling me bloody mary because i pulled a couple of mine out in class.

Speaking of acid erosion. I had super bad acid reflux (due to disgustingly bad tonsils that I didn’t know were bad; long story)
And even just acid reflux will eat away at your teeth.
If you throw up or have bad acid DO NOT BRUSH YOUR TEETH RIGHT AWAY. Use a rinse. Floride or mouthwash to neutralize the acid. Cause it makes the enamel weak. You will brush it away by accident.
People with ED can get bad teeth due to the acid as well.

I use the pain relief Orajel mouthwash for when I get my braces tighten and it helps a lot with the pain. It doesn't fully numb your mouth but does it enough to soothe the pain and make the first few days after an adjustment bearable.
Man after first time my mom pulled out my tooth i literally started doing it by myself… tho i did it with my thumb and shards were left, not the smartest of decisions but at least my teeth are pretty good now
true story but when my daughter was 2 iwas smoking and had to tend to her older brother who fell down the stairs i put my cig up i though high enough but i guess not because next thing i knew while i was bent over tending to big brother she burns my butt cheek so bard and bad with the cig and just busts up laughing i was so angry and in pain but that was the day i quit smoke haven't touched one since! also still have the burn scar lmao

The only tooth pain related product you should use is clove oil. Its antibiotic, antiseptic and can last months. Dentists use it.
It's rare to find in brick in mortor stores but it is a solid 10/10. Nothing works as good other than pulling the tooth which will invariably be worse than your tooth pain for quite some time.
I bought 5 years of time before i was able to afford a pulled tooth and found the courage to do it with clove oil from a old filling that fell out and the tooth shattered into many pieces bringing death, decay and the world's worse pain on earth.

Anbesol works absolute wonders for teething, gum boils, tongue sores.. but the uk has banned it bcs of the alcohol 🙄 I live in Ibiza now and can get it ok so always keep so e in the bathroom.
