- Firefighters battle a 3-Alarm fire on Bainbridge Avenue, Fordham Road Section of the Bronx, near The Botanical Garden. The fire claimed the life of a 57-year-old male who was found on the collapse portion of the residence, the blaze also cause total lost to one of the houses and significant damages to two other adjacent private homes.
The fire started around 9:30pm on Nov. 20, 2023. Firefighters initially had water issues, a fire hydrant just a few feet away from the house was found to be inactive, there were also a few cars double park upon arrival, one of them blocking the inoperative fire hydrant.
