She missed big shows in December 2017 under doctor's advice and was absent for the 2018 tour. She left in October 2018 stating she had still not fully recovered her health and other than tiny bits in interviews with Su and Moa saying things like they still talk to her and that she is doing well we know nothing. This will be the second album with Su and Moa as a duo when it is released in March, but before then we have 4 more new songs to look forward to being released one a month (but not December ... maybe they have something special planned for Su's 25th birthday - only the Fox God knows). For the first time Su-metal is credited with writing the lyrics for 'Divine Attack'. If 'Gimme Chocolate' and 'Karate' are your main frames of reference for BABYMETAL I would recommend you explore their back catalogue a bit more, those are possibly their best known songs, they are great fun at live shows too, but they are far and away from being their best songs. They have about 50 songs so far and every one of them different to the last ... and live is where they are always at their very best. They have songs in virtually every metal genre but will also mix and blend in many other musical styles and genres with the metal - usually when you least expect it. Some are fun and lean towards their pop roots like 'Gimme Chocolate', others are a lot deeper and more meaningful and some are good hard metal. For example you liked 'Kingslayer' - that could very easily have been one of their own songs (apart from the swearing). If you don't know it already I would recommend 'Megitsune' to start with. The official video is great but likely to be blocked, live performances are where I would go - the Metrock 2015 or Red Fox Festival with an all female audience are my own favourite performances. They have way heavier and way crazier than those 😁 In my opinion, "Divine Attack" is a great song and the perfect comeback. Well structured and perfectly executed and produced. And, as Herman Li from DragonForce said on his reaction last week, they are not going to show all their cards on the first single. They plan to release up to five digital singles until the album release next March. Su-metal has credits for the lyrics for the first time.
