    Thanks Cliff... This is just around the corner for me.
    Well, eight miles, which is just around the corner since I drive by it almost every day traveling I-820 West southbound.
    Really interesting images of Lake Worth's backwaters on the west side of I-820.
    I think there is parking via the under bridge (I-820) access roads were you can put in under the bridge.
    If you head east toward Samson Park there are some incredible ledges along the Sanson Park lake perimeter.
    Just stay clear of the military base on the other side. There are some very high security military industrial complex installations over there... including military prisons.
    Yeah, the deal with the Trinity and the dam at Eagle Mountain is that you can't exit your kayak. The property at the dam is posted and fenced off. Plus, it's in a rather deep gorge making any exit and transport very difficult even if you were allowed.

    Great video! Another kayaking destination to put on the list. :)

      The only problem… There’s just too many great destinations. And two little time, lol! I just got back from a week in Florida where I filmed three really cool videos. Safe adventuring out there!

    I love your videos! I live in FW and hike the FWNR 2-3 times week. Additionally gained an interest doing paddle trails and getting a kayak. Went up to Mariners Sails in Dallas & will likely be purchasing a yak after roof top install. Keep posting your paddle explorations - I love them!

      Thank you so much for watching and commenting JP! You’re shopping at the right local Kayak place, Mariner Sails is awesome!
      If you want to bypass the roof rack like I ultimately did, and go with something high-quality and inflatable or stackable. Check out sea eagle and Pakayak.
      If you’re going with a rigid, one piece kayak, Mariner Sails is awesome!

    Keep your eye at for the gators there. Or maybe not, they’re pretty easy to spot hahaha

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Will do! In a couple weeks, I’m going to be paddling the Rock Springs Run north of Orlando, Florida. There are A LOT of gators there, should
      be interesting. That being said, if you leave them alone, they will leave you alone. They really don’t concern me much. If they get too frisky
      with my boat and start biting on it, they’ll get shot.

    As always, great video! I especially like your videos with the Razorlite. Did you use the skeg on this trip? I was wondering if it got caught up in the tangle of lily pads. Lol. The lily pads were…a little creepy to me, but I’d have been game. Alas, you lost me at “cottonmouth.” 😂👀😳 Safe paddling!!

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! No, I did not use the skeg on this trip. It’s a great place to paddle, check it out sometime! I fully intend to go back in August when all of the lily pads are in bloom with white flowers. That should be spectacular!

    Great video and looks like a great spot. I'm wondering what you might think snout the razor lite on an open bay. Also, I have you ever taken a dog on the boat? I have a 60 lbs Lab who loves the water.

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! Thanks for watching and commenting! I have had the RazorLite out on large lakes in the middle of the summer with lots of boat traffic. Lots of big swells and waves. It performs very well and is a lot less susceptible to taking water over the bow than a non-inflatable kayak. Because of the 500 pound load carrying capability, I don’t think you will have any problem taking your dog with you. I would probably put him in the stern. Just balance the weight out with equivalent weight on the opposite side of the boat like a cooler up front. Safe adventuring out there!

    Nice looking piece of water! Looks like a good place to fish.. I think that critter you saw was a nutria..

      Thanks for watching and commenting! Good to know. I was thinking the same thing, but I thought I saw some flatness in the tail when it flipped up in the back a little bit. Have a good one and safe adventuring!

    Just an FYI, What you thought was a Beaver was actually a Nutria. (River Rat). Their tails are round like a like a dog, not flat like a beaver. I enjoy your videos!

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey 👋 Thanks Patrick. When I was filming him, I could’ve sworn that I saw a rounded beaver 🦫 tail surface, because that’s what I usually look for. Water was murky, though… Probably was a nutria. Thanks for watching, and commenting!

      Hi Verdell - thank you so much for watching and commenting! No I have never kayaked any portion of the Brazos. I fully intend to do so from Possum Kingdom Dam down to Lake Whitney in that area. I would also love to go down to the coast and do the Brazoria area as well. So many places to kayak, I will get to them all eventually! Safe adventuring out there!

    Hi, Just joined your site. I am looking at starting kayaking. I live in El Paso Texas. I would like to take a course of some sort before I start. Do you know any places in Texas I can do one?. Second I do not see any reviews of pedal powered kyaks..I am an avid cyclist so if I can mix both that would be good.

    • @KayakCliff
      @KayakCliff  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi 👋 Martin - A great place to inquire about Kayak training is the ACA - americancanoe.org/ This is the leading organization in the paddling industry. They would be able to tell you when / where training events are. They probably also have some online courses, not sure though . . . As far as pedling kayaks, that is a great option. I’m an avid cyclist too, but I really enjoy switching it up and aerobically working the upper part of my body by paddling. That’s just me though. Check out the hobie line of kayaks, they have some great pedaling options

    Nice video! I live in Arlington. My channel is about motorcycle camping while pulling a trailer. I have a Sea Eagle Packfish 7 that will fit on my trailer. I love fishing from it. But it doesn't cut through the water like a kayak. I'd love to get an inflatable kayak to add to my motorcycle camping adventures.
