Basically, MLT are for those who have Diploma in Medical Lab Technologist. Its a diploma level. But for your degree course, you can apply for Pegawai Sains C41 (apply in Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam official website), as pegawai sains also working in the lab but more to managing the lab & managing the MLTs. MLT job scope is more to bench work and running test, while Pegawai Sains more to validating test report & management part. As for me, I was MLT but currently part time studies in Bachelor of Biomedical Science too. After grade, I can apply for Pegawai Sains C41 too. MLT currently don’t have license.

I am not really sure about that since it is quite strict for foreigners to work especially in Malaysia medical lab but maybe can try seeking job vacancy in private sector & research lab which is international based. Hope its helpful.
You may find working agency that suits your prefer job. But as for now Malaysia did not occupied medical work vacancies for foreigner. But for Singapore yes they have.

Kerja dgn government banyak manfaat sama macam jabatan2 kerajaan yg lain. Depends pada individu. Ada orang personality sesuai kerja gov, sesetengah org sesuai work for private company.
mlt di hospital wajib oncall, tapi utk klinik kesihatan ikut tempat, ada yg xda. Di KK Batu Pahat, oncall or kita panggil lokum, dari jam 5pm-10pm utk hari bekerja. Weekend 8am-1pm. Untuk hospital sy tak pasti waktu oncall diorang..
Vacancy for a government health facility in Malaysia is through application but as for now, it's only open for Malaysians. However, you may try to find a legitimate work agency that offers MLT jobs in various private health lab facilities in Malaysia. Hope it helps.
If you work as mlt but further to degree, basically no salary increased (government sector) but for private sector maybe yes. The plus point is that you have higher opportunity to change career to Science officer which higher salary range than mlt.

Waalaikumsalam sister, to my knowledge, a foreigner who wants to work in Malaysia as an MLT needs to apply from any legitimate work agency. Of course with certain qualifications, interviews, and so on. I'm not clear about the procedure but you may try to search it from Google.☺
for now medical laboratory technologist is only diploma level..but let say if you have degree, you can apply for higher position such as Science Officer which is basically working in the lab for analyzing lab report & manage all medical lab tech issues.

Sorry for late reply. In Malaysia we have 2 pathways on working as Medical Lab Tech in government sector. 1st one is by applying for SPA (Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam) or Civil Service Commission, this way commonly for Malaysia citizen, the computer test & interview must be success before you could be selected to further studies in Diploma Medical Lab Tech. After graduate (3 years) the government civil commission will give you post as MLT in any government health clinic or hospitals lab. The 2nd way especially those whom graduated from private college, they have to send their resume & applying for the post. If they have best CGPA, luckily they will get called for interview & job posting as MLT.

MLT is diploma level so basic salary is same for most diploma holder which is around 1.7k for starting.
