Thank you for your video! I'm currently a mlt student in their clinicals. Do you happen to know how much mlt's start with? I know you put in the pay in the video but I'm just so unsure of what to expect when I graduate. I know I would be a new grad with zero experience but I also would want a livable wage lol

Hey Carlyn! 1st thank you so much for subscribing and supporting my channel I really appreciate it. I can say that I had my moments of regret and experienced burnout from the heavy workload and understaffing.Unfortunately working in healthcare feels that way in every department in the hospital.But,since working as a traveling MLT and having more control over my scheduling and my time off has helped with the stress of it all. I do however enjoy my job and plan on staying in this field until retirement.
I’m currently a student in the MLT program. We don’t learn much about pharmacology at all. In clinical chemistry we touched on a few therapeutic drugs, since the lab is responsible for measuring the amount of these medications in the blood. However we only covered the very basics, no math was involved
@LaFera Holt I had to withdraw from general chemistry 2 because of a bad teacher and going to end up taking it again in the summer. Does the program involves the general chemistry 2 info?
Hello, i found a school that is 11 months and it's online then go for clinical, It's Medical Laboratory Technician, do you think it legit? Since LMT is normally 2 years.
Hey, make sure any program you plan on signing up for say that they are either NAACLS OR ABHES accredited. If they are not you will not be able to take the BOC exam.. so please look for that because for ASCP it is a requirement!
Don’t be worried. Yes, they offer MLT and MLS program online now. There’s University of Cincinnati that offers it online as well. Which one you have found? As Dereka said, make sure to check their accreditations.
